This journal is changing my life. I do it as part of a therapy program and it's just amazing to write in it every couple of days. I take my time to reflect before writing, and I read over each part before moving on to the next. Great way to learn more about yourself and hear your own advice

This is what i've been looking for. It's an excellent self guided, prompted journal that let's you work at your own pace. I've already done a few pages, and I can't wait to see what else this journal has in store for me! I will definitely be looking into their other books too!

This reminds me of a guided ‘autobiography’ journal I got as a gift in high school, though it’s less about the past than about the present.It has good prompts, don’t get me wrong, but only the most ambitious journaler would finish this thing in less than six months. Or someone who writes o e sentence answers to every prompt.Honestly, I feel as though, despite the ‘author’s’ stated purpose to promote deeper introspection, some of the prompts actively encourage the opposite. Some of them even seem to require those simple one sentence answers. I don’t know about you, but my answer (for example) to ‘what would you name this chapter of your life right now?’ wouldn’t be a paragraph. Might even be LESS than a sentence, if all I’m doing is titling a chapter.On the other hand, there are some prompts I do enjoy. They’re the ones that remind me of high school English class. They ask WHY. Who inspires you the most? WHY? Or whose approval do you desire the most? WHY?Those kinds of questions do prompt deeper reflection and so earned this guided journal two of the four stars I gave it.The other two stars come from the actual physical beauty of the journal itself. White faux leather hardcover with gold-embossed title, nice thick pages with adequate (sometimes more than adequate) space for writing, ribbon bookmark, lined pages. The print could be a bit darker, but it doesn’t actually detract from the experience.Would I recommend this journal? If someone asked me specifically for a recommendation for a guided journal for personal reflection, I might. It also seems like it would be a good companion to therapy, which is always a plus.

I bought this as a gift but I ended up loving it so much I purchased one for myself. It’s so helpful to have an outline for journaling each day.
