Size:Small/Medium (30-45 Inch) The NelMed G-Tube Holder was designed by the wife of a gastrostomy patient who disliked the side effects of G-Tubes being taped to her husband's skin. This holder comfortably secures G or PEG tubes in place without the need for tape, minimizing skin irritation and discomfort. The easy-access panel with grip tab combined with the belt's adjustable closure help increase patient's ability for self-care, keeping the G-Tube secure during restroom visits, sleeping, and everyday living. The NelMed G-Tube Holder secures most enteral feeding systems (PEG tube, G-tube, J-Tube (Jejunostomy), and more) to the abdomen and helps minimize the risk of accidental pull-out in combative patients or small children. The latex-free material is soft against the skin and the low-profile design is discreet under clothing. For comfort and additional security, the tube is placed through a slit on the back of the pouch to help reduce tension. Sizing is based off of waist measurement and is available in two sizes, S/M 30-45 inches and L/XL 46-60 inches. Made in USA.

Control and comfort
I admit I ended up using this wrong, but it has worked so well for me! I didn't put the Peg tube thru the hole in the back, as that was very uncomfortable for me. It felt like the tube was being pushed into my tummy! Instead I put the belt lower than where the tube comes out (across my belly button) and curl the excess tube into the pouch. The belt is comfortable (after I trimmed the loopy stuff on the edges that irritated me) and stays put under my clothes. As I shrank during treatment, so did the belt.Using tape to control the tube was miserable, tucking it into my pants was awkward and uncomfortable, I even tried tucking it into my bra, but that was . . . . awful. Leaving the tube hanging was unacceptable as it seems very long and tended to catch on things and get pulled. This belt made all the difference. I've used it for 8 months, and wish I'd had it 2 months sooner. These little things that give control and comfort during trying times are wonderful. Seriously, these should be offered along with the feeding kit to every patient who has a tube installed immediately after surgery. All that stress about controlling the tube the first couple of months could have been avoided. Stressing over cancer is enough.

This was nice at first until my husband slept with it on
This was nice at first until my husband slept with it on. It would shift during the night. This can also start an infection since no air can't get to the peg sight and your body heat will cause moisture. We found the best thing to do is use old style gauze (3 1/2 3 1/2), cut half way into it and cut three very little slits at the end of the cut. After cleaning and drying the peg sight, put the gauze behind the peg stopper than put a little piece of medical tape on the slit on the gauze. This will keep the gauze flat. My husband curves his tube to make what I would call a loose not. He wears loose fitting t-shirts so it doesn't show a great deal. He uses a "rib belt" to cover it for a smooth look when he wants to and sometimes he will wear it to bed. It doesn't move. My concern with a rib belt is the moisture and an increase chances of infection. I also recommend changing your gauze several times a day when you first get your peg since it will seep. Once the seeping slows down a lot, change it at least twice a day but three times a day would be best.

Love it, after adapting use to my preferences
No, I don’t wear this holder like this outside my clothes. But yes, I do wear it like this underneath my clothes (but I’m not going to post a picture of that, of course!).I have had a PEG tube for 13 years. For nearly that entire time, I have used gentle paper tape to keep the tube out of the way when not eating. The tape did the job fine and I was happy with it. Several months ago, I began to have a rash on my skin right where the tube tip (port end) always rested. I thought there must be residue from meals and supplements leaking out the stopper and getting on my skin, and—since this rash was a first—that I must have an allergy to a new supplement I had started. I stopped the supplement, but the rash was still there even two months later, so I had to reassess my first hypothesis. Finally it dawned on me that maybe it wasn’t an allergy per se, but rather something like a contact dermatitis. In my search for a solution to keeping the tube tip off my skin, I found this holder. The first day, I wore the holder as depicted on the packaging. For the past several years, the area where the tube goes into my stomach is often rather sensitive and I don’t like things to press on or near it, because it gets irritated. Unrelated to the tube, I also don’t like clothes to sit too snugly at my waist. So having the belt close around my waist and the pouch right over where the tube goes in to my stomach wasn’t working for me. I set the holder aside, afraid that I had just wasted my money, and tried to find a different solution for keeping the tube tip off my skin.Several days later, after not being particularly successful in finding another solution, I decided to give the holder another go. This time, I thought I would see if I could adapt it to use in a manner that avoided my particular issues. First, I tried *not* threading the tube through the slit in the back, but instead putting the tube into the pouch from the top. This let me set the belt lower down on my hips, instead of waist, as well as let me keep the pouch from sitting directly over the tube insertion area. It sort of worked, but I didn’t love it. Then I thought of putting the belt around my upper chest, with the pouch flipped so that the opening is at the bottom. Then I put just the tube tip into the pocket (from the bottom) and closed the velcro around it. And it worked!I have now worn this holder daily for about three months. The rash began to clear up right away and is now gone. The velcro holds the tube firmly, and in fact it is even better than the tape, because the tube would routinely slip out of the tape, but not so with the velcro. The positioning of the tube is very similar to how I used to tape it, which is a further plus. I just ordered a second holder (which is the one in the picture) so that I wouldn’t have to try to rush the laundry when it needs washing.

Things you should know about this product.
Does the job but, you should consider this a disposable product. For example, if you're G-tube leaks through the hole in the abdominal wall this garment will become stained. There's no way to return it to it's original white color. The materials used in its construction are of poor quality. The design of the government isn't so great either. Sorry for the negativity, but my advice is to try a different garment.

I order the G-tube belt & it was amazing! This belt is so comfortable
My brother has had a feeding tube for 2 years & it was so uncomfortable. At night when he rolled over it pulled & hurt. The tape was awful on his skin when he tried to secure it. I order the G-tube belt & it was amazing! This belt is so comfortable, holding his feeding tube in place, & do easy to feed with it. We ordered 6 more & donated 5 to the hospital where he gets his chemo to help other patients. The nurses were so impressed with them, they are going to have purchasing order some to have on hand for all their G-Tube patients. You will love this product.

Performs well
There were a few minor adjustment issues but nothing that couldn't be overcome. One has to bear in mind that the purpose of this is to assist every person using PEG Tube feeding and that all bodies don't come in a convenient one size fits all format. No negative comments at all.

Excellent- Holds G tube in place and gives peace of mind
I bought this for my father after his G tube was inserted. He feels much more secure with it on and finds it very comfortable.
