2 Pcs Rear Liftgate Hatch Lift Supports Struts Shocks Gas Spring 4900 for 1982-1992 Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro SG130001,8195287,10264

Had to order twice due to 1st one either was stolen of my door step or was mis-delivered, either way I never got it. Amazon re-order but is now expecting my to return the 1st pair or I will be charged for both pair (luckily the part is fairly cheap but still I should not be charged for something I didn't get). Not the dealers fault at all. I did get the second pair to replace the 1st pair and in a very timely manner (thank you so much). The install went very easy and only took about 30 mins (I did have to fish out a part from behind the panel, try not to drop anything back there lol). I have gone years with out replacing the supports and I should have done it a long time ago, so much easier than I though it would be. The only thing that is not ideal is the boots that come with it, I either put the boot on the wrong side and need to switch them or they are just a little bit to small the tend to poke out from behind the side panels, but not by much.

Bought November 2023 for my 1989 Camaro both have failed ...will not hold the hatch on my Iroc...been over a year i am sure the warranty is over...just have to buy two more hopefully these will last longer than a year and a half...I don't open the hatch much at all...

So you’re wondering why I gave 5 stars when I suggested that they failed. Yes, 1 strut failed after a few weeks and leaked oil into my freshly detailed interior which stunk. I contacted the seller and without hesitation, they immediately sent me replacements. Now that’s customer service! So far they are performing flawless thus the 5 star rating.

Works well

Quality product and fit. If you think they don’t fit, attach the bolt end first and extend the hatch fully open to make the back attachment. I needed to use a vice grip to remove one of the bolts because the 50 torx hole was stripping out. Not the problem with the new support but helpful to know this method worked.

Fit my car perfectly at a budget friendly price plus it seems high quality. Only time will tell but so far so good!
