Reliable RF Meter
Remarkably accurate and in comparison to the Anritsu MS2711D spectrum analyzer. Although one cannot glean from the thousandth place, in contrast to an expensive analyzer, the little meter definitely has a place on the bench. Apparently, in addition to HF, the Surecom SW-112 has some sensitivity in the 2 meter band as well.

Good value for the Price.
It works just fine for the frequencies specified. I like the low range for measuring QRP radios.

still meter
I was hoping this would work. But it appears it was DOA. I read the instructions several times and followed them while trying to get a power reading and a SWR reading. The power reading twitched and stayed at zero. The SWR would not even move the meter pointer when I turned the knob slowly, as they recommended, or fast; it did not matter. So, it appeared the meter was damaged, although the meter lock switch was set to off when I took the meter out of the box. It was either a bad meter or it was damaged during shipment, as the box came in just an Amazon plastic bag rather than a box. Either way, the meter was no good to me and was returned. I had considered getting a replacement, but did not want to have to return that in case a second bad item came. If I purchase another it will be a digital meter.

It's a keeper, HF carry around wattmeter
Well let me just say I'm buying another one as a spare. It's very light, compact and genius build using PCB with black mask and white silk screen, a great way to keep the cost down. The 4-watt on 12W scale measurement matched exactly on Bird and the test unit.120 w scale was slightly off but not enough to matter. Who's to say the bird is not inaccurate, it's never been calibrated since I've had it.The meter shunt switch is great for rough handling in the backwoods. This is the HF version.

Wrong circuits in the case!
I purchased the SW-112HF. It doesn't work on my HF radio. I just found out they make a VU version. I tested it with my VHF/UHF radio and it works! I have a SW-112HF with the circuit for the VU version in the case. Still doesn't work as intended for my HF radio but now I know it's not me!
