If used in sufficient numbers (about 12 inches apart on each pole) then they do a good job of leaving your backdrop free of wrinkles. So, make sure you get enough of them to do the job properly. The major problems with this item were: (A) 2 clips out of 16 purchases were broken/unusable, so I ended up with 14 usable clips; (B) the teeth on these clips can tear up your muslin backdrop when pulled taught. To avoid this problem, you can cut small strips out of thin packing foam sheets and place them between the clip jaws and the backdrop. One star deduction for the overall build quality and one star deduction for poor quality control and being shorted 2 clips! Time and hassle of return and reordering process and the need to use the item at the time were factors to keep and not exchange.

These little straps did what they are intended to do. They held my backdrop tight without lossening over time. Great product for the price.

Been using backdrops for years and have used several clamps, etc. to keep the backgdrop tight and wrinkle free. But, they have always needed adjustment throughout the day (get knocked off), a pain to install and still had to use a steamer to get rid of creases. WITH THESE THEY ARE FLAWLESS. You can adjust the length, they stay in place under constant abuse (meaning if you're taking pics in a short period of time of thousands of people and especially of groups of 28 or more things get knocked around and tugged on), and they removed ALL creases and wrinkles without the use of a steamer. The clamp is small but don't let that fool you these are heavy duty clamps. Highly recommend these for any backdrop. They held in place without adjustment for a total of 58 hours (the entire time the backdrop was up) and could have easily gone longer. It was a breeze and a no brainer to install. Can handle wind, etc. with no issues. The velcro part of the straps where just big enough to go around a commercial heavy duty tent pole (not a standard thin 10 x 10 canopy). If you have a fabric banner don't worry about creases and wrinkles, these clamps will remove all creases and wrinkles.

All i can say about these, is that. they work. easily. it takes just a matter of seconds to get these babies where you need them.just undo the velcro, wrap the strap around where ever you want on the rod and, re strap the velcro, place the clamp wherever you desire the background needs it, push the button down, pull, and release and your background drop's wrinkles/ creases are gone. want to move it to a difference spot? just push down and pull the other way! These are a great idea and work quite well. They do help to decrease the wrinkles in any cloth backdrop (don't expect them to completely eliminate wrinkles) and they also stabilize the backdrop. The tiny spring clips do need to be placed carefully and will not hold if over tightened. I also suggest placing the Velcro straps just below the joint -can't think of the correct term- of each segment of your stands so they don't slide out of place.Would I buy them again? Yepperdoodle!

Works as advertised. I've always wanted an easy way to hold some of my drops on the sides to my backdrop stand and the stand and drop aren't always the same size. These work perfectly and are adjustable to meet the size I needed. I use these primarily for my newborn and toddler drops which are smaller drops compared to my stands but this would work even on my 8 X 10 foot drop easily since they are discreet. I haven't tried these for the top of the drop but only the sides since for the top of my drop I normally use my full size clamps.

This was a big problem for me as I use numerous cloth backdrops in my photo studio. At one point, I was using duct tape and clamps to hold the material taught so there were no wrinkles in the fabric. These little holders are GENIUS! Fully adjustable, they work on cloth and paper backdrops, hooking around the stands and clamping to the material/paper and holding it in place.In a word: GENIUS!
