I came here to buy this after it was ranked first in a New York Times review of security cameras. Not only did it finish first it was also the cheapest.This camera replaces a previous cheap model that has since disappeared from Amazon. That experience was maddening. Flakey and limited software, intermittent WIFI signal, constant false notifications.This camera is mounted in the same spot and connected to the WIFI instantly. The software is simple and intuitive to use. The speaker is a little poor quality but I'm using it as driveway surveillance and have no plans on using the speaker.The image is very clear and downloads are simple and flawless. I have yet to figure out how to delete files on the SD card but with a 64 GB card I had kicking around and installed, I really don't need to worry about. The Activity and Privacy Zones (areas to watch and areas to ignore) work great. I'm able to cut out the front street traffic and identify only movement in the yard and driveway. The microphone is very sensitive.What a wonderful package for such a good price. I'll likely buy a couple of their solar units for mounting high on trees to watch all my good neighbours out walking their dogs...and the rare punk looking for Ford pickups to steal.One quick picky thing for the manufacturer. Please don't tighten the screws to the SD card door so tight. It was a struggle to remove even with the perfect sized Phillips screwdriver. Other than that, great product!

These camera’s are hard to beat for the price. They are rugged, and just continue to work if installed right.There are other reviews with samples of the image quality - it’s what you’d expect for $30, probably a little better even. Decent, 2k image with night vision. I’m not going to focus on this as much as a couple of other aspects of this product that I was pleasantly surprised by after install.These are: The app’s simplicity and streamlined functionality, and the actual camera hardware being compatible with almost every ip camera configuration standard.The app is surprisingly simple yet useful using the camera’s local micro sd card storage, and can be used locally on the LAN without any subscription, and does not have any blocked features or limited functionality when opting out of the optional cloud subscription. This is much more of a bonus than I had expected. I hadn’t even expected to use the app at all after setup.Which isn’t necessary after the initial setup, which includes paring the camera with your tp-link ID. Once done, you can set up what they call a “camera account”, which is in essence setting the camera’s local address for use with third party software and NVR’s via ONVIF (s) standard, or using the RSTP protocol. Overall great for the price.Only negative I have found is that the frame-rate is set at 15fps and absolutely can’t be changed or reconfigured in any way to manually change the bitrate. The resolution options are what you’d expect (720,1080,2K) but just keep in mind that it’s all at 15fps. Not really a big deal as much for me, something to know. Oh, and the included 9v-0.4A power supply is the only option for power, PoE is NOT supported. The camera’s stream can be connected via ethernet or wifi, but not powered over ethernet as well.They work for a long time, and are $30, you can’t really go wrong.

Llevo casi 6 meses con la cámara y puedo decir que funciona Excelente! la aplicación es súper fácil de utilizar, se configura rápidamente y puedes definir las áreas de detección de movimiento y hacer zoom en tiempo real y en la grabación, lo mejor es que graba videos cortos del movimiento sin necesidad de pagar por alguna membresía, la calidad de video es buena y tiene la opción de grabar en 2K.Es una muy buena cámara para exteriores, yo la tengo instalada en un pasillo del patio en dónde le da el sol directo sólo por un momento en la mañana y no tiene mucha protección para la lluvia, la verdad es que ha funcionado sin ningún problema, el único detalle es que si vas a utilizar almacenamiento con microSD asegúrate de comprar una memoria que soporte altas temperaturas, en mi caso había comprado de las estándar y se me echaron a perder dos en un mes por las altas temperaturas que se alcanzan cuándo le da el sol a la cámara, la camara resiste muy bien el sol pero las tarjetas no.

Lleva adaptador de enchufe USA no vale para España, y no lo indican en la venta.
