Easy and fun for All ages.
Easy for any age level - as few or as many players you desire. My childhood game had different rules. One skunk loose points for that round 3 skunks loose points since the start of the game. Play to 100 points. Can roll again if you get doubles and choose to do so. Otherwise count the points with no skunks. Lots of fun!

I needed replacements for the original skunk game. These filled the bull.

A really fun way to have fun and help kids learn simple addition
I played this game with my Mammaw when I was a little girl. We followed different rules than what comes with the game, but the dice are essential. Here are the alternative rules for anyone that might remember the vintage Skunk game:Object of the game: Be the first to score 100 points. Each player takes a turn throwing a pair of dice. When it is your turn, you throw the dice and add the number of dots on both dice. If you get a 4 and 6 on your first roll, you have a score of 10 (4+6). You can keep the 10 and have it added to your total score, or you can roll again. It is up to you. If you roll again and get a 3 and a 4 (7 points) your total for this turn is now 17 (10 plus 7). You can keep rolling, or you can pass the dice.If you roll a skunk, however, you lose all of your points for the turn and get a zero for that round of play. If you already had 20 points from previous turns, you keep the 20 points on the score pad, but only get zero for this round after rolling a skunk. If you roll a double skunk, you get a zero for this round AND it wipes out your score from previous rounds. This game is a lot of fun. Any child that is old enough to count to a hundred and can add combinations of numbers that sum up to 12 can play the game. The element of chance and control is fun. The fact that any number of people can play is also fun. The sneakiness of getting kids to sit and willingly do math while laughing and eagerly counting everyone's scores, not just their own, is the best fun of all!!!

good game for traveling or camping because it takes up ...
I remember playing this game as a child (won't say how long ago THAT was!).... As a few others have mentioned in their reviews, we played by adding scores (up to 100) instead of spelling the word "skunk"... Roll two dice as often as you want for each turn and add up the "dots", but if you roll one skunk you lose all your points for that round... if you roll two skunks you lose all the points you have for the entire game and you have to start back at "zero" on your next turn.... good game for traveling or camping because it takes up almost no room in your suitcase or backpack :-)

Great fun for all ages!
Our family loves this game!!! I grew up playing Skunk ( Im 65), my kids played it and now we all play with the grands! Kids as young as 5 have enjoyed it after they got over the shock of getting a skunk or two and learned to quit when ahead :) A turn consists of rolling the dice and adding up all the spots. You can continue rolling and adding as long as you dare....but beware!! If you roll a skunk, you lose all your points from that turn. And Woe betide you if you roll double skunks cause then you lose ALL your accumulated points as well. Lots of laughs and drama in this easy game for any number of people and ages!

Cheap dice. One came deformed and with seven pips ...
Cheap dice. One came deformed and with seven pips. A little light in the hand and tend to bounce all over the place compared to similar priced farkle dice from other sellers. Plus those come with six dice not five.

great product, great price
great product from koplow games, another cool set of animal dice. fun game , simpler, good for younger players and like most koplow dice they're fun in solitaire form too. all of these dice games have and educational element due to the obverse side of the instructions sheet, covering information on the animal pictured on the game in addition to the math value in many of the games played. (no math in this one though) great deal from BIGFLYSPORTS as well. I got them less than 6$ no additional shipping and PRIME. great deal.

but fortunately I remember the other rules
Different rules from when I was a child, but fortunately I remember the other rules, which are more fun for kids.
