This CarPlay device has been a game-changer for my driving experience! Installation was quick and easy, syncing instantly with my iPhone. I already have a 9 inch CarPlay which I installed in the dashboard in place of the head unit. But for my other car, a Alfa Romeo Spider I was looking for a smaller screen. Not only this screen fits but it comes with a very handy, and very sturdy, frontscreen support. In my car there no place to install, but this CarPlay did.The classical functioning of the CarPlay is snappy and the volume and brightness are always accessible.But !! They went the extra mile, by adding a feature they call Superlink. And to be honest, I was completely taken by it. After installing a free EveLink app on my iPhone ( Android is the same) and creating a separate wifi connection between the iPhone and the CarPlay you get three new functions : online videos from a number of internet streaming sites, a true screen mirror casting and lastly a Airdrop to watch anything that's on you're phone. I fully realise that this is very for the back passengers to entertain on long trips.Of course you have to completely quit and disconnect CarPlay and start Evelink. So there is no switching on the fly it takes some gestures.The basic CarPlay with the handful apps is of course in the first place a navigation aid, and it is surprising how many navigation apps you can run simultaneously. I do it all the time because they all have a different interpretation of the route I am asking, and more importantly these apps have different maps that show different details. The spoken navigation is loud and clear, and though I am wearing hearing aids, the sound of the CarPlay speaker is easier to understand the the car speakers. You can even reroute the sound to the car speakers with a FM-transmitter, but I think nobody goes through the hassle.The included reverse camera has a wide angle and illumination at night.The only negative point with this screen, and with most of them, is that they don't have a backup battery, not even the tiniest. So when the power is out, the screen dies immediately. And not all cars have an always on power.

This screen is very easy to install and set up. It’s very easy to use, very user friendly. The brightness of the screen is nice and can be adjusted. The quality is very good as well. My car is a 2014 so I had some trouble with using Bluetooth but I have it hooked up through the auxiliary option. It has good connectivity. Good product for the price. Customer is helpful. Helps keep eyes on the road. Does what it is supposed to do.

The media could not be loaded. This Hotpeak portable CarPlay device is perfect in my older car. My husband already has a similar one in his equally old car and I knew I needed to get one for mine. It is simple to install via a suction cup for dash or windshield and it plugs into the lighter. The 7 inch screen does not interfere with my vision while on my dash which is what I prefer. I have an Apple phone but this is supposed to work with Android devices as well. I love that I can get my maps on a larger screen, play my music and even hand it off to a passenger to watch a video! Hands free phone calling is also a plus! This is an entirely new experience for me since my car is over ten years old and I am really enjoying it.

I installed the 7" model on my old Honda. Before this, I had for several years been using a simple phone mount so I could use my phone for navigation, music etc. The move to a dedicated display is night and day. The link between the phone and display is seemless - I get in the car and the two connect automatically. The display is bright and clear. Audio from the unit is fine for basic directions etc, but linking it via a cable (or Bluetooth) to the in-vehicle audio system makes a big difference. Installation of the unit is super easy - maybe 10 minutes.I did have a small issue with the cable supplied for the rear camera, but I dropped the company a note and they very quickly sent me a replacement cable.Given the price vs performance ratio, this is a no-brainer purchase if you have an older vehicle but want a more modern navigation/music experience.

**update**It stopped working. No power, nothing on the screen. Lasted slightly more than a month. I guess buy it if you want a carplay screen for about a month.This little thing is great. My wife was having issues with her crappy in-car navigation, and results to her looking at her phone to see google maps.Enter the Smart Screen. It does CarPlay and Android Auto, so you’ll be covered with whatever you use.Hard to complain about, she really likes it and it’s a huge improvement in the crappy infotainment provided by pre-CarPlay cars.

Works great in my old car! It connects quick when I get in my vehicle! And great size! Only downside is the touch screen is a little slow. But that’s to be expected in such a device.

Value for the price is great! I dont like that it plays music also from the device, and in addition DONT take phone calls with it cause no one will be able to understand you fully! The attachment did not stay either so Im disappointed with that
