Support Sling - Buy this BEFORE you ever actually need it
I have a 14 year old, 60lb Golden mix. He recently had to get a spinal tap, MRI and CT scan as we are looking into some health issues that suddenly popped up. Our vet recommended we look for a support harness/sling prior to him going under anesthesia so we could help him if he needed it. So glad we took his advice. He had a really hard time after the tests and the first 24 hours were brutal. He wasnt able to support himself using his back legs at all or even walk unassisted or get himself up. The harness made it possible for us to help him during his recovery. It slipped easily under his stomach and despite him being a bit on the crankier side (he has a bit of Chow in him as well,) he didnt have a problem with us using it on him. Once he realized we were helping, he was fine with us using it to walk him outside when he needed to relieve himself. While our guy has done a lot better this last week, he still hasn't got back to where he was pre-spinal tap etc. He has had some very wobbly times and some difficulty getting up and we have continued to use the sling when he needs it.If you have an older dog, I would recommend buying this harness BEFORE you ever actually need it. It would give you the chance to get your pet familiar with it and then if or when you DO need it, you already have it on hand. It would be useful to help older and larger dogs up stairs or into the car when they start struggling or its recommended they no longer attempt these things on their own.The product itself is well made. No issues with stitching and the handles are a good length to hold for any amount of time. 5 stars.

I returned complex garbage/crap from Asia that was like a rubic's cube to get on and off
After trying overly complex harnesses etc. ... we discovered the simplest and cheapest solution for assisting our Aussie ... and you're looking at it. Goes on quick, comes off quick, you walk your elder dog and lift slightly when needed for support. Is not intimidating to the dog, THEY know it helps. I returned complex garbage/crap from Asia that was like a rubic's cube to get on and off ... product looked great but was horrible to deal with. Duh, simpler is almost always better.

Amazing for supporting arthritic dog!
Game changer for my arthritic 12 year old lab. Before I bought this I was using a towel to support her arthritic back legs. It hurt my back and didn’t work very well. This product is comfortable for both of us. I can give her the extra support she needs (especially squating to do her buisness and on stairs) without hurting my back and she can still do some so she’s not loosing all of her muscle mass!Update 1/6/2019We’ve used this 2-3 times a day for a year and it’s still amazing. The Velcro is slightly worn but otherwise it’s still as good as it was a year ago.

ONLY DOR FEMALE DOGS
Now I’m not one to discriminate the but all these “under the belly” slings that I have purchased to see which one will fit my male dog only works for females. Like they bunch up by my dogs groin area making it virtually impossible to pee normally. It’s like I’m pushing on his bladder because I have to hold him up when he pees. It works much better when he goes number 2 because they squat a little and this sling holds them up without interfering with it. But for peeing, it’s so uncomfortable. These slings that go under the belling and behind the legs are ONLY meant for female dogs. Wasting my money on this. If you have a male dog(s) go buy slings that hold only the rear legs without interfering with anything. I have found one. But I can’t say it here or amazon will remove this review. And if you only got a female dog well then good for you they will work perfectly because they squat to do both duties which is what these slings are designed for - dogs squatting.

Not for large MALE dogs with deep chest and skinny butt
Item is durable BUT for my Boxer pit bull mix with a deep chest bad knees and skinny but and rather large male parts ( YES he's been neutered ) the sling slides down his chest to cut his male part in a very uncomfortable way .He occasionally needs support on his rear legs for ligament tears in each knee and now has bone cancer in his front right leg so this is totally useless for BIG MALE DOGS WITH A DEEP CHEST .otherwise it would have been excellent . if he were a she or even more evenly proportioned . I stop use it for emergencies and more recently when he I hired his front leg leaving him with one good leg it came in handy to get him back to the car with a chest harness and another person to carry his other end . its water proof lightweight easy to store and clean

This is for a very specific type of body shape
The Good - It's a simple, inexpensive solution to helping my dog move around. I did use it while she was struggling to get upbecause she was feeling under the weather, and since I have it, I'll use it for short periods of time if I just need something to pick her up and help steady her. But...The Bad - It's about the same as using a towel to accomplish the same feat. My 15 year old Chow/Shepherd mix is more top heavy - she's barrel chested with a leaner waist and back end. This would lift her, but if you tried to leave it on her while she's walking around, it inevitably slid down her body to gather at her hips, and one time I found it on the floor because it fell completely off.The Bottom Line - if your dog is top-heavy at all, this sling won't work as an every day solution, so I couldn't recommend it.

easy to use
I bought this for my senior boy, who is having a hard time with weaker back legs.He enjoys walks and needs to go out to do his business, but sometimes he has trouble keeping his balance, due to his rear legs getting a little weaker. This is a lifesaver, because I just slip it under his belly, pull up the sides, velcro it together and we are on the way. Just enough help for my sixteen year old boy.Very easy to use and he seems very comfortable in it. It is well made and the price is great.Thank you for a wonderful product!

Truly a life hanger for our elderly dog.
Our 11 year old, 73 lb dog has severe hip issues and had gotten to the point where he was having trouble standing from a prone position. I found this Lepark dog sling and thought I would give it a try. Truly a lifesaver! When we manually helped him up it caused him a lot of pain, however, since we started using this sling he is doing so much better. Thank you for truly a great product! Rou

No good for dogs with front leg issues
Good quality product - strong fabric, well made and easy use. Company has a very good attitude to customer service, would happily use them again. Worth nowing sling is no good for a deep chested dog with front end issues - mine is a lurcher cross with his front leg missing.

Good product poor design.
The concept of the product is great however the design is poor a chest strap is required to prevent the support from slipping bag to the dogs rear legs, because of this I will not be using this product until I have modified it with a chest strap.

Sling needs to be more flexible, handles are great
It doesn't adjust to body shape of the dog. If you put it under ribcage you cant support rear legs. If you put it under tummy it rubs back legs & ribcage (my dog is Male & it caused him problems!)
