This blade is certainly very sharp and fit for purpose from that point of view. The edge that it gives, though, is more wavy than scalloped, not giving a very sharp point at the bottom of the cut, and the scallop is bigger than I was after.I have attached a photo to help you make your own judgement. In the photo the left hand side and top cuts are made using the following product Professional Pinking Shears, P.LOTOR Stainless Steel Dressmaking Sewing Craft Scissors, 24cm(9.3 Inches), Serrated and Scalloped, Pack of 2, which I only found after I had discovered this wheel was no good for my project. The right hand side and bottom edges are done using this cutting wheel.For me this product is not suitable for my project. Unfortunately it is not possible to see the wheel very clearly through the packaging or I would not even have opened it. I only hope I can find a use for it on another project.

I have used a rotary cutter for many years but this is the first scallop blade I have used. Takes some getting used it. I use it for fabric mostly. Makes a very nice edge. But....as I saw mentioned in some other reviews....don't use your good quilting rulers. It will nick the edge. And like I say, maybe this just takes some practice to know exactly how to hold the blade next to the ruler. This is not a complaint about the blade, as it works very well....this is just for info - especially for those who may not be rotary cutter pros.
