This is the brush for spindles!!!
I needed to repaint the spindles on the stair in our house. I was really worried about runs etc. After doing some research and watching a bunch of YouTube videos, it seemed that the older pros who did not spray and who were talking sense were using thick-ish round pointed brushes. This brush seemed the ticket.I'm just a DIYer; so, I masked off the top and bottom of my spindles adjacent to stained banisters and treads. I was using oil-based paint and included Penetrol oil-based paint conditioner. Painting with this brush was a dream. I worked one spindle at a time. The pointed tip was able to get into the acute corner at the top of the spindles and made getting a smooth finish between the spindles pretty easy. I sanded with a 180 or 220 grit soft sanding sponge between coats.I think I could have stopped after the first coat; but, it was working so well I did three. It is likely that I could have gotten away with not masking; but, getting paint on the banister and treads was not a risk worth taking just to save some time and money on the masking. The bristles on this thing are really fine and there are a lot of them. The brush seems to be a bit more than 1" in diameter and that is not a complaint. You just need to realize that it'll take a little more time to clean it thoroughly. I use a soft wire brush and repeated rinses in a about 1/8 cup of thinner. I start with used thinner that has had some time to settle and use the wire brush to clean any semi-dried paint from the hard surfaces on the brush and exterior bristles. I keep using fresh used thinner with each rinse until I don't seem to be getting any more paint from the brush when I squeeze the bristles. I finish with a rinse of new thinner and let the brush dry in the sleeve it came in.FYI, I find cleaning up oil-based paint easier than water-based. I've reused thinner for years by letting it settle in an old thinner container (#1) and pouring off the clear thinner into another container (#2) after it is fully settled. After doing a rinse with the recycled thinner from #2, I just pour it back into #1. After a few weeks being undisturbed in #1, I can decant the clear used thinner into #2.

Great for Decorative Trim (crown molding and chair rails)
My wife and I are adding crown molding and chair rails around the house with a detailed decorative design. I spent a lot of time researching paint sprayers and wasn’t happy with the choices for my application. I stumbled on this and decided to try it before buying a sprayer. It works great for this application, much better than a standard brush. In my previous house I used a sprayer for this type of thing. It’s certainly an option but there are a lot of limitations and clean-up issues that make this brush the preferred choice (in my case). My wife did the painting of the trim and a single brush made it through all of our decorative pieces (21 total 8 foot sections).

A MUST HAVE FOR ANY PAINTER- FROM PRO TO WEEKEND WARRIOR!!!
Hard to find, but this is my all time favorite paint brush for finishing furniture or any detail trim work. Nice, full/thick bristles, ultra soft and perfectly pliable. I soak mine in water about halfway up the bristles with a drop of castile soap and fabric softener when not in use. The bristles rinse clean with minimal effort and will last me for years- just as my last two have. FAR superior to brushes 3-4x the price and zibra brushes are my go to for every project and the ones I recommend to everyone that wants to try their hand at refinishing furniture.

100% recommend
I would 100% recommend this brush for anyone who has table/ chair legs to paint, as well as spindles. This helps reduce drips and is more accurate in painting. Saw it recommended by someone else, and I'm glad I listened!

Fantastic!
I paint furniture for living and have a multitude of brushes ranging from 2.00-100.00. This brush is fantastic. It loads lots of paint, it’s super silky yet stiff enough and the shape is excellent for round items like chair legs, posts etc. Since I could not get one in hardware store in Canada I had it shipped to US and now I wish at. That price I would have bought all the shapes available from Zibra.
