Best smart bulb ever
Idk why Phillips think they can charge an arm and a leg cause these light bulbs are the best smart bulbs ever (former SYLVANIA bulb user). The colors are way brighter than anything else I used. The QR code made it super simple to setup. Buying more for the entire house!

Very worth it.
The media could not be loaded. Love these. Amazing. You can turn on and off through the app. Control multiple lights if you sent them as in the same room. Great to set ambience. You can also make the lights brighter or dimmer, which is great for sleep time.

a bit warm and a bit dim but nice color
I purchased several of these and they all perform the same.I am comparing to brands such as Govee and Wyze that sadly don't natively work with Apple Home. These work very well with Apple Home and turn on and off quickly for me when talking to Siri through the phone. Using the watch can be an issue but that is an Apple problem and happens with anything Siri related. It would be nice if they had a higher watt version. These are a bit dim even in comparison to a similarly rated bulb. More concerning though is that these do seem uncomfortably warm when in use. The other brands listed above get slightly warm but not hot. Even though Wyze is higher wattage and hence brighter, it does run cooler.I do like the colors. They seem just a bit more vivid. I can see things fluoresce when set to blue that I didn't note with the other brands. They are a fairly small short bulb so they do fit in everything I have tried. Some brands can be too tall for my ceiling fan light cover.I will shop around and maybe try additional options before buying these again. The heat issue has me a bit concerned about their longevity but if they last, they aren't a bad option.Based on that I may recommend them but it would depend on the person and use case.

Stay away from Nanoleaf Essentials Matter over wifi bulbs.
Nanoleaf Essentials Bulbs Review: Thread vs. WiFi Comparison## Shared StrengthsBoth the Matter over Thread and Matter over WiFi versions of Nanoleaf Essentials bulbs offer:- Seamless pairing with Apple Home and Hubitat- Rich colors with granular control over color and temperature- Adequate brightness (though this is subjective—I personally prefer dimmer lighting)## Matter over Thread Version: RecommendedThe Thread-based bulbs have been consistently reliable in my smart home setup, maintaining stable connections and responding promptly to commands.## Matter over WiFi Version: Not RecommendedAfter three months of troubleshooting with Nanoleaf support, I cannot recommend the WiFi versions due to persistent connectivity issues:### Connectivity Problems- Bulbs disconnect regularly, typically staying connected for only 12-16 hours- Current workaround requires physically turning them off for 30 seconds to reconnect### Excessive Requirements (According to Nanoleaf Support)Nanoleaf claims these bulbs require:- Placement more than 25 feet from routers and other WiFi devices- No Zigbee devices in the environment- All network devices on 2.4 GHz only (5 GHz network must be inactive)- No WiFi 6 or WiFi 7 in the environment- Manual IP assignment on your router-All devices in the network must use WPA2 security. WPA3 cannot be active.Despite meeting these requirements, the connectivity issues persist. My requests to have them replaced with the Thread version have been unsuccessful.## ConclusionFor those interested in Nanoleaf Essentials bulbs, I strongly recommend the Matter over Thread version. The Matter over WiFi version, despite sharing the same quality of light, has proven unreliable and difficult to maintain in a typical smart home environment.

Great Product
My current smart home is setup with HomeKit. I got these because of the popularity and how inexpensive it is. I purchased a total of 3.Here’s my personal pros and cons:Pros:Super Easy to add to the Home app (I added to the Home app before I downloaded the Nanoleaf app)Updating Firmware is super quickSwitched to Thread within minutes (probably faster)Cons:Nanoleaf app is a little confusingBrightness is okay - I’ve played around with the preset scenes and the colors definitely do look a little washed like what everyone says on their reviews. (I’ve got these strictly for pure white and amber for night time viewing to ease the eyes)Weird default color. When it defaults to white, instead of being white. It has a pinkish/red tint to the bulb. Not sure why that is, but I do have to manually change it. (A little annoying)When deleting “duplicates” it’ll delete the bulbs from the Home app as well. Had to add them back to the Home App. (Minor hassle)Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and how easy it is to use. And the price point is just great!

Great colors, slightly odd white range.
Colors are fantastic on this, and I find these both more responsive and more vibrant and color accurate than my Hue color bulbs. I'm in the process of transitioning away from Hue and have already bought several more of these.Only bad thing I can say is these bulbs seem incapable of doing 2500-3000k white range. After a certain point tuning white to a warmer tone, the bulb just starts to dim instead of going warmer. Not a big deal, but odd since it is perfectly capable of doing yellow or orange. My guess is the white and color LEDs are entirely separate. Possibly something that could be fixed in the future via firmware updates.Other thing I'd note is I highly recommend using these on a Thread network, and not via standard wifi or bluetooth. I've seen a lot of complaints about these, and have not experienced any of these, most likely because I have multiple Thread capable devices that can act as Thread border routers (Nanoleaf shapes, latest Apple TV, and Apple Homepods).
