Beracah USB Charging Port Socket Board with Flex Ribbon Cable for PS4 Pro Controller Board JDS-040

It's a USB port hub. Simple and effective. Idk if it is high speed or not. I use it to charge our four dogs' collars. Does just fine.

This repair is radically different from the stock 040 (oddly, both old & new parts are marked JDS-055) setup. Pictures 1 and 2 are of the STOCK board and the REPLACEMENT board, respectively. The controller shell is engineered to accept either style. Like the OEM part, the USB connector is on the "back" side of the satellite board (the USB connector goes in first on both old & new) such that the ribbon cable MUST be longer to reach the mainboard ribbon cable socket - this longer cable IS included in the kit, mine did not include a screwdriver (IMO, if you DON'T have a screwdriver set, you shouldn't even try to repair your controller). THEN the ribbon cable isn't aligned the same, requiring that the cable be flipped 180 degrees in order for it to match the connections from satellite board to mainboard. The cable would need to have the insulator side (the blue side) on opposite sides of the cable proper in order to make contact with both mainboard & satellite board without a 180-degree twist. Note the 3rd & 4th images, #3 is of the controller under power, only possible if - as is seen on picture 4 - the cable is flipped to maintain correct orientation.Bottom line, yes, it worked & saved like 50 bucks on a new controller. BUT BE WARNED! The cable orientation isn't the same and will confuse and confound the less-experienced gamer/technician.

So far I've had no problems with charging my controller works well. The included screw driver was nice.

Recieved wrong item . I purchased the jds040 version and recieved the jds011 .

When putting this into my controller, it was relatively simple. Fit in nice and snug into a CUH-ZCT2U model.After putting together the controller, I found out it did not charge. I tried several troubleshooting methods such as:Reset the controllerTurned off and unplugged PS4 for a few minutesTried several cables that worked fine with other devicesPlugged into my computer and received a malfunctioning device error ( implying USB slot issue )Removed and placed the part and wiring againNot entirely sure how this made it past testing, if that exists for them. Be ready to return the item if you plan on purchasing to repair your controller, sensitive parts like this could easily be damaged on transit, or simply not tested.

Unfortunately didn't work for me. Noticed 1 extra 3 on the numbers stamped on the little thing. Maybe I got the wrong one as the description says for a PS4 pro version controller, mine is a normal standard PS4. However it is the same model # thing JOS thing

Much better than the last one I ordered from a different company. This one actually has all of the correct LED colors. Costs about a dollar more, but worth it to have full RBG again and the screwdriver that came with it was much nicer than the one that came with the last replacement I bought. Hopefully this one will last more than six months.
