I love working Springbok puzzles because I know their standards and trust their quality. I also know I’ll have fun as well as a challenge. The pieces are uniquely shaped so I can’t assume what shape I should be looking for, there are usually a few sections of specific color making it easy to get started but then the rest is detailed and colorful enough to have the puzzle be challenging.The pieces are from thick stock and fit together firmly. This means I can build sections where I can fit them on my table and know I can successfully pick up sections, big and small, and move them into place once I know where they belong.There is puzzle dust and I know some folks have a problem with it. I simply open the bag of pieces and dump them into a kitchen strainer and give it some shakes. Once the dust is gone I sort from the strainer into sorting trays or onto my table. There aren’t any sorting letters on the back of the pieces or a poster included but I don’t use those anywaysAnother quality I can always count on Springbok for is their images. I especially enjoy the seasonal and holiday themed puzzles. This puzzle reminds me to enjoy the fall days with the changing colors of the leaves, taking the car out for a ride with the top down or windows open, the joy of music outdoors and watching the dogs play. I know the name of Springbok but I'm not sure if I'd ever done one of their puzzles before. I've done many in my life so it's tough to say. This is a good but not great puzzle, and probably a little higher cost than it should be, but I couldn't resist the puppies and the Vine program provides a way to test these out with less cost risk.Overall this just seems like a very old-style puzzle. That's not to say bad, just it feels more like the ones I grew up doing at a very early age. The pieces are cardboard and (luckily) no markings on the back as hints. Still, the pieces are huge compared to most and so you know pretty well what you are looking at making it much less challenging than many 1000 piece types. Also, this is the most puzzle dust I've run into in a really long time. Not exactly a nostalgia seller there.The pieces fit together well, and have non-standard shapes but not a lot of crazy ones (I'm not a fan of the type that are only rounded edges and so can't be clicked together in any way and you just have to get all the surrounding pieces for a friction fit), and are ok quality but right off the bat I had a couple where the corner was just folded over a little meaning you lose a tiny fraction of picture.Finally, the picture quality is only...ok. The box made it tough to determine as bits seems more like a watercolor or painting type, while some elements had more of a photo-realistic quality (my preference). I'd definitely put it as more brush painting style though.Overall it does feel like the ones I did as a kid, but at the same point it seems lacking in some areas compared to newer brands, and even if being traditional feels like it could minimize the negatives this style had back then. Not bad by any means, and a nice way to pass some time, though an experienced puzzler won't get nearly as much satisfaction from the solve on this one, so it's more suited as a relaxation event or younger person. There's absolutely a place for that in the market, it's just less what I go for most nowadays. Based on the whole, I'd give this a much higher recommendation if you saw it for 15 instead of 20.Being that it's my first (known) Springbok, having recognized the brand name I may have had higher expectations. I definitely won't rule them out, but they are not in my top 3 brands.

Great puzzle, the pieces fit nice and tightly. The whole puzzle can be picked up after you put it together. Graphics are nicely colored, no blurring, bad cut and paste, or weird skipping like I've seen on other puzzles. Fun puzzle to put together, I really liked this one.

My family has started collecting puzzles and Springbok is one of our favorites. The quality is reliable and the colors always seem more vibrant than with other brands. This puzzle in particular was appealing because of the dogs! We have a subsection in our collection of animal themed puzzles because almost everyone in our extended family fosters animals and these puzzles give us a lot to talk about when the families get together. This thousand piece puzzle was fun to put together yet challenging enough to keep it interesting. Definitely recommend.

This is a typical made in the US Springbok quality puzzle. There is a little bit of dust, but really not much. The pieces are standard picture on the front, cardboard on the back. They are larger sized, so the puzzle will end up being on the large size. They are of assorted shapes, as well. The colors are vibrant! I love the scene. I am in the middle of other projects right now, but I am looking forward to working this puzzle! I will update if there are any surprises when I get to work it.**update: This was a very enjoyable puzzle! There was more dust than I saw originally, but it wasn't a terrible amount. If anything, I would knock it down to 4.5 stars, but have to round that back to 5. The puzzle would only fit on my board if I draped one row over the lip on the edge. The pieces fit together well, and it was very clear which ones fit together and which ones didn't.

Springbok has been a major supplier of puzzles for 60+ years. This puzzle has thick, richly colored pieces with a high resolution image. The edges on some pieces looked rough, but nothing that would prevent the assembly of the puzzle. There are no bells & whistles -- no poster or no section markings on the back of the pieces. Puzzle purists may prefer this as it makes the puzzle a little more challenging. This beautiful image would be a great activity for a rainy weekend.
