One of the first things I bought on my home automation journey was a smart light switch from another manufacturer for $40. I see those are now $27, but at half the price, I have nothing but praise for this switch from Arvin.INSTALLATIONThe neutral wires on my junction box were tucked far back in unused. The four wires come pre-stripped so they're easy to use the included twist caps to secure to existing wiring. At first I mixed up which of my black was should be "in" and which should be "out", but this only took a moment to fix.OPERATIONInstead of downloading the smartlife app, I checked to see if this switch would pair with my existing tuya app -- it worked! It was immediately added to my Alexa account and I changed the name. The switch has operated perfectly by voice command, in routines, and by manual use.LOOK AND FEELI like the action feel of this switch, as well as the green/red indicator light at the top.

Had it for 2 weeks now and it's running great. No issues as yet. It was pretty easy to install using the wiring diagram on the product page which was more informative than the hook up instructions in the instruction manual. The instruction manual was pretty barebones and left a lot to be desired. Set up was a breeze. The Smart Life App can be a little confusing at first but was able to set up Scenarios and Automation to do what I want. Wish Arvin would come out with a dimming model.

Easy to install hardware with pain free software. Needing a neutral wire has been an issue in a couple installation locations (I've installed 5 so far) but overall this is a product I'd be happy to pay double the price for. I highly recommend these switches!I'd say the only issue I've had is with the Smart Life app that is used to control these units (outside of Google Assistant etc.) which is that I've had intermittent issues with the sunrise/sunset based automation options. I've had my switches still be off at 9PM despite being configured to turn on 2 hours before sunset.Despite that minor gripe, I still can't recommend these units enough. Every other positive aspect of these units makes me forget about the automation bug.

Unit looses internet connection within a week, got tired of having to go through re-connect process. I have a very strong wi-fi so it's not strength problem.

Very easy to install and setup. I installed it for my outside lights on the front of my house. Basically I just set the timer and forgot about it. The lights go on and off daily without issue. I've had this installed for over a year now and I've had no issues. The only time I ever need to mess with it is to adjust the timer based on the season but I can do that from my couch. My only complaint is the I paid $26 for this a year ago and now it is only $16... 😭

This switch was added when I changed my mind on doing smart bulbs and just did one switch, a lot simpler then 8 bulbs. the installation instructions were not very clear and this took me a lot longer then I wanted it to but after figuring out what was going on it works very well.

Already have several devices on the APP so this was not a new experience. This switch was easy to install, easy to discover and easy to integrate with Alexa. Just one more device changed over from the old X10 system and much easier to control.

Lasted a little over a year. Lost all wifi. Now won't even work manually. Poor quality. Zero reply from seller.
