Works perfectly
Works perfectly switching between a Mac Mini 4 and a Windows laptop to an Apple Studio Display. Removes need to switch off and change cables, and enables both to be used at same time. As mentioned in another review, it did not work with the Apple cable from the Studio display, but did work immediately when changed to supplied Cable Matters cable. Remote is useful as allows switch unit to be placed in position where access not easy to switch.

Cable Matters 20gbps usb c switch works flawlessly with Apple Studio Display
I have an Apple Studio Display with a 2018 Mac mini and a 2023 M2 Mac mini Pro.I run macOS Mojave on the 2018 Mac mini so that I can run legacy software.Apple say that the Studio Display requires macOS 12.3 (Monterey), but it works fine on Mojave unless you need to use it with the camera.Up till now I have been swapping the Studio Display lead from one computer to the other, which is a real pain.I bought a thunderbolt 5 switch at GREAT expense, but it didn’t work.Without any great confidence I bought the Cable Matters usb c switch. To my astonishment it worked flawlessly straight out of the box. I’m really over the moon, and it only cost a fraction of the price of the thunderbolt 5 switch. I couldn’t be more pleased. Definitely 5 star.

Does what it’s supposed to do
Arrived in a reasonable time frame, supplied with two USB C to USB C cables clearly marked #1 & #2 (makes things easy).Had slight issue with the remote, it got confused / stuck with the LED ‘on’ had to remove the battery a couple of times to get it to reset). If it continues I’ll report it in, I overcame th issue by using the integral push switch). This works better than two other alternatives I had to send back, as they would not work. This does work to switch two laptops into one docking station as a switch, so it’s a result (no more plugging / unplugging wires - yeah).

Switch between 2 macs on a Dell monitor
Delighted with the purchase of this USB C switcher, which allows me to connect both a MacBook Air and Mac Studio to the same monitor, and switch easily between them with the press of a button.I have a 32 inch 4K Dell monitor with a built-in USB hub and 90 watt power delivery over a single USB C cable. I have all my peripherals (keyboard, mouse, webcam, stream deck) plugged into the monitor. With this switcher, not only can I quickly change the video signal between the two computers at the press of a button, but also bring all the peripherals with me - so that I don't need to un-plug and re-plug cables between the macs. It's great for when I want to quickly switch between my personal and work computers.

Does not work for any use case
I have a Windows laptop and desktop. Both have USB-C, but only the laptop has USB-C that also carries video. As such I have to unplug both my screens every time I want to switch the dock over to the desktop, and plug them back in again to switch to the laptop. I also have to switch the cable from the dock into my desktop/laptop.Bought this on the premise that it would turn my existing Lenovo ThinkPad USB-C dock into a USB-C KVM, but it just isn't doing that. For a bog standard setup (I see a lot of reviews mentioning multiple Macs into a _single_ screen) this will probably work fine.Just a note: If your dock supplies your devices with power (i.e. if your dock charges your laptop when plugged into this) this won't work anymore. The device has a sticker on that states the USB-C connection into your laptop does not also charge it, so you'd have to have another PSU.Packaging is... fine. Cables seem of good quality. Device is quite light (not that that's a measure of quality or anything. I don't like the fact that you have cables (quite stiff cables tbh) plug into the front and the rear... it's hard to find a space on a desk where this would look neat (maybe if you mount it under the desk? the remote control for switching would certainly be helpful there). Will be returning it.

Brilliant, flawless
Brilliant. Allows me to share a docking station (and attached monitor, keyboard and mouse, etc) between two laptops. Works flawlessly.

Does what it says on the box!
Works perfectly with two windows laptops and a Logi Dock.I had tried another USB-C switch from another well known vendor but had issues on one device with the display flickering randomly and skicky keys on my wireless keyboard. I used the cables provided and works just as expected. The remote is more useful that you'd expect and allows you to hide away the switch behind your monitor or in my case, taped under the desk.

Does what it does well
Biggest issue is that power is not passed through to the side which is not in use. If you want to use this like a KVM then make sure your computers sleep relatively fast so that they don't drain too much power while they're on the inactive side!No real complaints other than that, except the fact that this is not actually a KVM and I wish it was - not sure any true kvm over usb-c exists? When you switch between computers using this switch, your screen is disconnected from the other computer so all your windows end up moving around. True KVMs avoid this by simulating a screen still attached. For my computers, this switch takes around ten seconds to go from one to the other.
