13 Saltillo Tile Repair Kit - DIY TerraCotta Tile Filler - (Red-Brown, 1 Pound)

Repaired many serious cracks running through our Saltillo Tiles better known as Mexican Tiles with Red-Brown color. However you may have to mix some liquid cement coloring of your choice to match as best as you can. You need to be a real artist. Also just use a bottle of concrete bonding adhesive instead of water to moisten it, much easier than their prescribed method. Two applications works best as the first application dries and sinks down a bit so the second application fills it in best and level. After drying It remains quite visible against the actual tile because it is flat finish, until you seal the flooring with a nice gloss coat, then it blends in better and is hardly noticeable as it takes on the same sheen. Have to be careful with color matching as the closer you get to the tile color the less visible it will be. Overall pretty good, and it's ready mixed and gives you a starting point for your application.

Decided to do a major repair to our mexican saltillo tile floors by stripping over 37 years of sealer, grime, etc. Used the repair kit to fill some holes and cracks prior to applying a fresh coat of sealer and this product worked great.

Our 40 year old satillo tile floor has developed a few cracks and we're selling our house. This repair kit did very well hiding the small ones. Even the larger cracks look better. Easy to use.

I did not receive the cement. Judg opened the package to fix the tiles, only a jar of liquid is there

So far, this product is fantastic. I used it to patch an eroded area on a reddish/pink Saltillo tile on an outdoor patio. Apparently, water dripped from an older raingutter and the drops eroded a 4” corner section of the tile. The product was easy to mix and smooth on after I cleared the area of dirt and loose debris. The color is spot on and I honestly couldn’t tell which tile I repaired!!

Instructions are wrong. For very small tile hole repair, I had to use the majority of the product because the water to product ratio is not accurate. The product didn’t hold well and often wiped away when wet sponging. Became gritty and hard to apply. Very frustrating.

I thought this would repair my saltillo tiles, it really didn't and wasn't too impressed given the time put into the repair process and the price of the product. I'll have to replace the tiles, was hoping to avoid that. Maybe you'll have better luck...

Mixing was a little guessing game. Just added the bonder and hoped it was the right amount. Finally got the right consistency needed more mix. Easy to apply. Now will see if it holds up.
