This table is awesome! It keeps my daughter entertained for a decent amount of time so long as one of her siblings plays with her (about 30-40 minutes). There are different activities for your toddler to do: "fishing" with a fishing rod using magnets, shape matching, color matching, using fine and gross motor skills, and others. The reason I gave it four stars is because the metal wire pice that has wooden pieces to move back and forth comes out of the table easily and because one of the bottom pieces that connects it to the table broke after a few days. It also doesn't take much space - very compact!

There are very few toys that can keep the attention of a toddler for more than a quarter of an hour but I think I may have found one in this brilliant little 6 in 1 Montessori play table/activity centre by Othex.My grandson came to stay with us last weekend and I knew from past experience that he would not be happy just sitting and watching 'In The Night Garden' and old episodes of 'Thomas The Tank Engine on CBBC.As soon as he saw the play table sitting there on the rug in the middle of our living room he made a bee-line for it and didn't stop playing with it until I lifted him into his highchair to eat his breakfast about half an our later.As soon as he'd finished his breakfast he went straight back to the table and continued where he left off.He did struggle a little with the little magnetic fishing rod and the magnet nosed fish but I think that's an age thing and as his hand/eye and motor skills improve he will be catching fish like Robson Green in no time.The table is a brilliant, safe, educational toy well worth the 5 star rating I'm going to give it, but I do have one very minor gripe concerning one of the wooden blocks in the set I received. There are two triangular shaped blocks and no hexagonal shaped block, even though there is a hexagonal shaped hole to put it in. (Please see photos) Not much of an issue, I know, but it would have been nice to have a set of 4 different shaped coloured blocks to fit into the 4 different shaped holes.

This is another Montessori ‘educational toy’ that young children love, and this one is very good. The item is mostly solid wood and is surprisingly heavy, meaning that it is difficult to knock over. The wood is finished to an excellent standard, with smooth edges, no rough patches and an even paint finish.The individual components are varied and innovative, they fit well together and the varied activities make this an excellent toy. A very useful feature is the net, as every component can be placed in it when not in use.Age wise, I would say that 12 months is perfect, by the time most children are two years old they will have probably grown out of it, but only you know your child and what they like.There is a small amount of self-assembly required, but it is very simple and in no-time you will have a well-made, fun and educational toy ready for your child to enjoy. I thoroughly recommend this to all children of the appropriate age.

Dieses Spielzeug wurde gut verpackt in einem Pappkarton geliefert. Noch besser wäre es, wenn die noch enthaltene Plastikverpackung künftig durch Papier ersetzt werden könnte.Das Anschrauben der 4 Tischbeine ging problemlos. Der Tisch wirkt größtenteils stabil. Nur die Motorikschleife lässt sich meines Erachtens zu leicht vom Tisch lösen. Den Angelstab haben wir vorerst vor unserem 15 Monate altem Enkel in Sicherheit gebracht. Ein kleiner spitzer Stock ist nicht unbedingt das Spielzeug, welches ich einem Kleinkind unbeaufsichtigt zum Spielen geben würde. Zu schnell kann dieser beim Rennen ins Auge gestochen werden. Auch manche Kanten der Schablone sind relativ scharf. Hier wäre es schön, wenn diese in der Produktion noch etwas abgeschliffen werden würden.Ansonsten sind wir mit diesem Spieltisch bisher sehr zufrieden. Neben den Sicherheitsaspekten ist natürlich wichtig, dass er unserem Enkel gefällt. Und dies ist unbestritten der Fall. Hier war der erste Eindruck sehr positiv.
