Good Sony Bravia Remote Replacement
Update 2/26/25 For those of you struggling with the power button not working: It turned out why my remote's power button doesn't work was because IR signals from the remote switches OFF when I connected the remote to the TV via Bluetooth sometimes. Switching off and on the Bluetooth re-enabled IR signals groom the TV and ended up fixing the power button issue for me. I can't replicate the issue to disable IR signal, but it's the second time resetting Bluetooth and turning the Bluetooth off and on fixed that power button issue for me. If your remote doesn't work with Bluetooth disabled, than that's a different issue. Still cannot update though. Update 12/15/24 My Sony X90CL just all of a sudden started receiving IR signal from this same TV remote since a couple of weeks ago. It still cannot be updated though. Everything else is good so far. I don't know why it worked now as I didn't do anything to the remote or the TV, but I wanted to update this review to let people know that it does end up working well for me. Original review: Overall a good Sony Bravia TV remote replacement. With this being the first review on this item, I'll confirm a few basic expectations: * The pairing was easy and quick and all the keys on the remote worked perfectly. * The TV remote is the same one shown in the product picture and appears to be a genuine Sony remote. * All of the remote's premium features worked properly (finder, voice command, backlit keys, etc.). However, there are a few things and expectations you should be aware of: Package (NOT referring to Amazon packaging) - The remote came in a clear plastic bag with a sticker tag saying the remote was new condition. There was no other protective container or packaging of any sort that came with the remote. No instruction or note was included. Compatibility - After pairing, I could tell a noticeable improvement in responsiveness compared to a couple of third party remote replacements I've tried! Everything so far was great. There are just 2 things that don't work for me with this remote: 1. The remote's power button doesn't seem to work with my TV. (It appears to be my TV's faulty IR receiver.) 2. The remote cannot be updated despite the TV saying there is a pending update. From what I'm seeing online, those seem to be common issues people experience with replacement Sony remotes. So despite the couple of issues I noted above, I'm still rating the replacement remote 5 stars based on my first impression.

Works ok but fails to update.
I purchased 2 of these remotes. One is connected to an A95L and the other is connected to a Bravia 8. Both work all the menus as expected. Both light up as expected which is nice at night. Neither of the remotes will update which means periodically getting the message on the tv that there is a software update for the remotes. Both time out and fail to update. They have been paired and removed multiple times and had several new batteries installed to no resolution. Aside from the update messages (and subsequent failures) they do work as intended.

This is a legit Song remote
I bought one of these backlit remotes from a different seller and it was a fake. THIS remote is a legit Song remote. Everything works great. It connected via Bluetooth with no issue and updated. The fake remotes will NOT update. But this one does. Thank you to the seller for being HONEST

Fails to update
Remote works fine out of the box, however fails to take an update. You will have a remote software update banner often when you use the TV.
