Poor QC, but usable...
You do pay for what you get with this part. It's inexpensive, but other "name" parts cost more because the quality of their parts is better. This stem is missing some metal in the aluminum casting of the raised boss (ring) that supports the handlebar in the clamp. It's not enough to cause the part to be weak, but it does reduce my confidence in the quality of the metal casting because the part is powder coated with a satin black finish. Who knows what defects are hidden under the paint? If the part fails and I break my neck, this review will be my official record of the cause of the failure.
