Overall, solid and sturdy, folds up nicely
This seat is well-made and pretty sturdy. The main challenge is installation. Screws with plastic anchors are provided but it's a little deceptive for the seller to suggest they are adequate for mounting in drywall or tile over drywall. They definitely are not adequate, as has been noted in other reviews. They are not strong enough and they will absolutely pull out at some point. Unless you are mounting on a wall that is backed by solid wood, the only safe and secure way to do the installation is with anchor bolts. There are several types available, but Fliptoggle or SnapToggle (which I used) are the easiest. These bolts require drilling 1/2" holes but if you are mounting on ceramic tile, glass or porcelain you will need a special drill bit. An oversight in the installation guide is that it doesn't mention using silicon sealer around the anchor holes. If you are installing inside a shower, this is absolutely necessary because without it water will eventually seep in and cause water damage behind the wall. Another thing, a little annoyance, is that the template provided does not specify the distance from the top of the seat to the center of the top mounting brackets (~9cm), which is needed if you want to set a precise height for the seat. But once you get the right anchor bolts and drill bit, silicon sealer, and align the template, the installation goes smoothly. And once mounted properly, the seat is very sturdy. It folds down easily and folds up and stays securely in place. I'm happy with it and proper installation wasn't beyond my skillset, so I was able to workaround the product's shortcomings. If you're handy, it won't be a big challenge. But if you're not handy, find someone who is to do the installation for you.

Helpful Info?
I just received mine. I probably won't install it for a couple months, but since the existing reviews seem to have some contradictory info, I thought I'd comment on a few things. -The build quality seems fair for the price. The welds on the back of the mounting flanges are pretty porous. They're not visible when installed, but weld like that are more prone to rust then are clean, solid welds. - The "Teak" seat is real wood. I doubt it;s real Teak, but it's not plastic as mentioned in at least one other review. - There's some missing finish on the underside of one of the seat boards. This is visible when the seat is flat against the shower wall, and I expect it to weather prematurely. FWIW, I expect to have to refinish the seat boards periodically anyway. I was actually hoping they where plastic since that's a better material for a shower, IMO, but my wife didn't want white or black. - The packaging was intact, but mine arrived in a larger box with another item. The box is that very fragile recycled cardboard that many inexpensive import products use, and it probably wouldn't wear well if it was the outer box. - The mounting screws and anchors were missing from mine. I didn't plan to use them anyway, but missing parts speak to the care taken by the manufacturer to ensure you get a good product. Overall, I'm reasonably optimistic that this will adequately serve its purpose. I ordered this rather than some similar items at higher prices because those reviews where no better. Fingers crossed.
