Great item fits 420D and much stronger than the bmw version would highly recommend

Good part but still difficult to fit
Great cost effective part which offers an easier solution than the American AGA metal clip repair kit. Still pretty difficult to fit although I didn’t remove the heat tray. I used a 13mm ratchet to remove the existing clip but, and managed to fit this clip on top of the broken plastic clip. The original 13mm nut with fixed washer wouldn’t go on, so I used a 13mm nut with no washer. I couldn’t fit the rubber pipe socks with the gap I was working in but don’t think it’s made that much difference. The ridge on this clip made it easier to fit compared to the same clips without the ridge.

Doesn’t include nut
Doesn’t come with a 13mm nut with the new washer and the old washer with nut attached doesn’t fit the part. Had to buy some 13mm nuts and wait for them to arrive which is quite annoying. Other than that, a great solution to an otherwise costly repair.

stronger and will not rust.
this is much stronger than the original BMW plastic bracket which broke! Being stainless steel it won't rust either. fits perfectly and did the job for the price of this and 20 minutes work. Saved that £457 BMW wanted to fit another plastic bit!!

Great solution to a standard BMW problem
Great item, only dropped the rear 4 heat shield nuts to move the shield down slightly. This required a 10mm socket. Then a 13mm ratchet spanner to undo the nut, slide the rubbers on, push the clip over and put the original nut and washer back on, I never used the included washer.45minutes including jacking the car up, great job!You need at least axle stands both sides and be able to lay under the car comfortably, so you can get finger tips of both hands round the propshaft to do it this way.

PERFECT AND FIT FOR PURPOSE
Amazing piece of part. Really prevents the clip from breaking again as it is metal and the OEM is plastic.Would recommend for F series vehicle!
