They work just like the slap bracelets I played with in the 80’s, but these are adult sized. They are almost exactly the same size as a standard ruler, both length and width. They might be a bit too big for smaller children. These are vinyl covered rather than cloth. They are HIGHLY reflective! I can see a multitude of uses for these for safety purposes as they easily wrap around anything under 12 inches in circumference. Whether these are to be used for safety or as toys(in my case adult throw-back toys for St. Patrick’s Day), I recommend them!Note: The first pic is with flash. The second is without.

Reflection is bright. Versatility of snapping them on where you want them is terrific - arms, ankles, backpack, belt. The hiker I gave them to loves them.

I've bought similar products, which are 16" and are stronger, and I much prefer them for the purposes of keeping my pant legs tight while riding a bicycle. These work, but are barely long enough for my purpose.

These are not as reflective as some of the other ankle bands but for the money I love having so many. I use them to slap around my seat post and handlebar post on my bike. I have one attached to my sons trailer arm so people can see that it's there. Overall, if it's the only thing you are using I'd get something more reflective but as an extra reflector you can't beat the price. Plus they are fun!

they reflect well enough, but too short to wrap around arms comfortably, keep falling off.i had to buy again and make sure size is in the listing!
