Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (PS2)

Excellent customer service!!Received the product in less than the stated time however the first game did not work in the PS2After a short email to "Sierra" through the amazon website the provider apologised and sent out a replacement game free of charge, no issues that day which i received in working condition two days later. Cant complain about service like that!! Excellent game well worth the money!

Love crash bandicoot as it is a classic but I bought this game to relive my childhood only to find that it doesn't work. My console isn't reading the disk at all (it is with the other games I have). Checked the disk itself and there's minimal scratches so should have been fine. It's beyond me on why the disk isn't reading

If you find you have a little extra room for another game in your PS2 library, then this might well be the thing to fill that space. This isn't just Video Game Cement though, it is a good game on it's own. The graphics are most impressive, and the idea of the game - that you have to destroy the 4 elementals coupled with your stronger clone, Crunch - is irresistable! The warp rooms are full of interesting and sometimes very challenging levels. Collecting all the Gems is difficult, and I took a long time on the Air Elemental.Anything bad about this game?Yes, but only minor things. I wish the enemies were a bit more reactive instead of just standing in your path, chucking a little grenade at you mechanically. But then again, that's what the enemies in Crash 1&2 do, and they're two of my 10 favourite games. I suppose I wanted something a little more different.Anyway, moaning aside, this game should be treasured by any Crash fan. But I don't see the quirky marsupial as my ultimate video game character, but i still enjoyed the game very much.So, Buy this game!!

Having played Crash 2 and 3 to death, I was eagerly awaiting the release of this game, despite the scepticism of critics, who were already claiming it was more of the same. I should have listened to them.My first disappointment came when I encountered the oft-mentioned loading times. At 35-40 seconds per level, these are unacceptably long, allowing me to take a nap whilst waiting for the level to load! But that could have been endured if The Wrath of Cortex had been an original and ground breaking title. Unfortunately, it isn't.This game sticks safely with the old formula of collecting crystals, gems and relics, although it does try to inject some originality by introducing "new vehicles", a technique which, I'm afraid is overused and fails to inspire. The only one of these vehicles which I really enjoyed was the gyro-ball, which lets Crash roll around a la Marble Madness.Another complaint is that the backgrounds, always well detailed in Crash games, are this time too detailed, so much so that I for had trouble telling the difference between what was there for show and what was actually out to hurt me! A lagging game camera also makes it difficult to judge perspectives, which can make navigating even the simplest of levels somewhat nightmare-ish.So, you say, what then gives this game three whole stars? Well, the graphics are pretty nice, although personally I prefer the graphics in Crash 2 and 3, and the sound effects are good if unoriginal. But not only that, this is a Crash game, after all, and as a dedicated Crash fan (I even moderate a Crash Bandicoot series forum!), I have to say that this game does at least offer solid gameplay...but it's still not a patch on Jak and Daxter.

My old disc broke recently, and this was a great replacement. At first, didn't recognise the disc as a PS2 one, but with a quick clean it was working perfectly. Said it would arrive after christmas but instead arrived the day before. Overall, great service, and exactly what I wanted. Very nostalgic!

played this game on a few occasions when grandchildren come to visit the game has trouble loading i think 10 pounds is a lot of money for a game thats nearly worn out will not be buying again from this seller
