Faithfull FAIPLANE60C 60 1/2 Block Plane for end grain work

I used to build a working time machine and have sent this message from year 2020 .

Looks great. Arrived quickly, sadly not in a wooden box as described. Which as it's a gift was a shame.

Need to give it a little touch on wet stone but work and no problem. I would recommend this!

Not to good to be honest as blade was chipped and ground crooked and not square to the mouth and it was lying in pieces( inside box)For the price I suppose I should have known and I guess I can tidy it up and find a use for it (rough work maybe or pvc)

do not waste your money unless you want to spend several hours getting this plane somewhere near usable, utterly useless out of the box with a blunt blade with traces of paint on it, very rough cast base which was not square, slots in blade for lateral adjustment were not deep enough to work at all, finally the adjustable nose was not adjustable as it was installed while paint was still wet, once it was free and paint cleaned off i had to regrind the base due to height difference.

Faithfull stellt wirklich gute Produkte für die Holzbearbeitung her. Preislich sind ihre Produkte wirklich top. An dem Hobel kann ich keinen Fehler finden, ist schön verarbeitet und scharf. Einstellen muss man ihn natürlich selbst und sich dafür Zeit nehmen. Ich nutze ihn meistens an der Drechselbank und kann ihn dafür sehr empfehlen. Ich werde auch weiterhin gerne Produkte von Faithfull kaufen. Die Drrchselbeitel sind auch richtig gut.

El mío no traía la suela plana, así que me tocó lijarla hasta que quedase perfectamente lisa. Sin embargo, creo que tiene una buena relación calidad precio. Los materiales (incluida la cuchilla) no están nada mal, las piezas están bastante bien hechas (salvo el aplanado de la suela, en mi caso), y por el precio que tiene no se puede pedir más.

Der Hobel macht beim Auspacken einen schlechten Eindruck. Das Hobelmaul das eigentlich verstellbar ist, war mit Lack zugeklebt. der ganze Hobel schaut etwas billig lackiert aus. Das Hobeleisen war katastrophal abgerichtet. Die Sohle war nicht plan. Wie bei meinen anderen Hobel von Faithfull mußte ich mit dem 400er Nassschleifpapier auf der Glasplatte die Sohle plan schleifen - zirka 15 Minuten Aufwand. Der Lack aufdem verstellbaren Hobelmaul mußte entfernt werden. Das Hobeleisen mußte richtig geschliffen werden. Nach getaner Arbeit bin ich sogar begeistert wie toll der Hobel arbeitet. Super tolles arbeiten, aber der Hobel braucht vor dem ersten Arbeiten so richtig einen Schliff. Ich kann den Hobel empfehlen, jedoch für Heimwerker, die sich mit dem Planschleifen schon beschäftigt haben.

Poor craftsmanship very disappointed

No es una maravilla pero funciona razonablemente bien si afilas correctamente la cuchilla.Me salió bastante barato porque era una devolución del anterior comprador y no tenia ningún defecto salvo la caja de cartón.
