Overall, this is a nice throw. I don't believe it is supposed to have that "distressed" look. I think that came about because of the packaging method. It was compressed and packed in a vacuum sealed plastic bag. It was like a brick, it was so compacted!The areas that look worn are where the fabric was folded so tightly that it almost seems to have aged years!The gift was well received, but I did explain why it looked like it did.I'd like to give 3.5 stars.

My aunt does so much for me and my family and I couldn't help but get this for her. She is so deserving and this blanket describes my feelings towards her. I love that it's the perfect size and it's so soft. She can use it to travel with and keep her warm. The material is so velvety. It's so easy to wash and dry. This is the perfect gift.
