Wonderful new flexible lightweight Chaco!
This new Chaco is really better than ever! My first pair of Chaco was purchased in 2000. That original pair was superb! The sandals lasted 10 years with moderate use, and still looked new. No wear to sole. Those sandals were worn on hikes, for a national forest service job, and then in the summer, in the ocean, etc...So...well worn....Why am I saying this? B/c after 10 years, the shoe delaminated due to my negilegence (sandals left for months in the trunk of my hot car)...So in 2010 I had to buy a new pair, and did. At that point, Chacos were no longer made in the U.S.A. but China, and my new pair felt nothing like the original. I did buy a toe strap pair that could not be adjusted. In disgust, I threw them away after a few months and blisters in the trash. Fast forward today...I decided to give them another go now that Chaco had a new sole that was not a Vibram sole (much lighter I heard)....plus I was tired of wearing muddy sneakers on my hikes... I was planning on trying this new pair on, and returning them if they didn't work out....I can tell you how pleasantly surprised I was! The new sandals more than deliver... 1. New sole is much much lighter than Vibram sole....allowing me to wear them all day right out of the box. 2. No break in period. 3. Straps adjusted right away for me. It took me only a few minutes to find the perfect fit. 4. Worn all day long and my foot felt great! 5. I have an injury that hasn't completely healed (I broke my ankle 6 months ago), but these sandals really made it possible to run around and hike all day long w/out discomfort by the end of the day. This is huge for me! 6. The only slightly annoying issue is the strap. It hangs a bit in the back. I just folded it under the strap. I may have someone with a good sewing machine shorten it for me. Otherwise, these sandals are perfect. Now, lets see if this pair lasts me 10 years. So there you have it, I'm a believer in Chacos once again, and can now recommend them. I still wish they were made in the U.S., and maybe they will be again.

Perfect shoe
These wide strapped Chacos are so much more comfortable than the ones with the toe loop and the tiny, thin straps. One large strap, very simple to adjust after watching a quick youtube video, ha ha. I’m generally terrible with adjusting things because my mechanical/spatial awareness is not great. But honestly, this is really not hard. I think the tricky part was realizing how hard you have to pull on the straps. It’s all one continuous loop so there’s nothing to break, but I pulled so hard that I was afraid I was going to snap something. But once I got the hang of it, it really is quite simple to do the adjusting. Most importantly, these are extraordinarily comfortable right out of the box. The strap is soft and supple, and doesn’t pinch or chafe when you adjust it to your foot. Also, my top of foot tends to be very wide, and these have a wide enough toe space that all of the little piggies stay on! It is true to size-I’m a US size 9.

Straps are one adjustable continuous loop! So comfy and adorable
This is my second pair of chacos and my kids all have them as well. I have a pretty wide foot and they all have narrow feet and we all enjoy them. I’ve tried on the Wide sizes and they are too wide for me but nice that they can accommodate even wider feet! I believe they are true to size. In Nike sneakers I wear a 9 and the 9 fits me great in chacos. I enjoy the wider foot strap on this style and the larger metal buckle! I wish they all had metal buckles over plastic. These are super durable and comfortable to wear for long periods. Since they are one continuous strap that adjusts at all points (except the very rear strap from the left to right side of ankle) making the fit totally customizable all the way down the foot. If the straps become difficult to move after wearing them, I like to wash mine and then you add a drop or two of fabric softener into the strap holes and pull the trap back and forth and it loosens up any gritty matter in there and allows the straps to be adjusted easily. The arch is very supportive. I have a hi-ish arch and sometimes wearing too long it can start to bother me a bit so would imagine those would be a dream for really high arched individuals.

Best Ever!
Oh gosh so glad I bought these. Pros: really cute, lovely color, arch and heel support, really padded to walk on. I have high arches and a high instep, and my feet give me a lot of trouble. I currently have a tarsal condition that is similar to carpal tunnel, but it affects your inside ankle. These shoes keep my foot supported and aligned properly, thereby easily the pain. The ankle straps took me a minute to figure out but no issues now. Basically these are not slip on shoes, but it only takes a second to put them on and adjust the straps. All of your toes are exposed, which means there is no squashing of your little toe like some shoes do. The wide straps feel great and secure - no worries about your feet sliding in them. They also aren’t super light or heavy to wear. The footbed is awesome- at first I thought the diamond pattern might be a problem for the bottom of my feet but I don’t notice it at all. The most comfy summer shoes ever, and you could easily add some dark socks and wear them with jeans in the fall. My podiatrist who hates summer shoes is even on board with these! If you are on the fence buy a pair and wear them in the house for a day. If you don’t love them, send them back. Just give them a few hours to get used to. And a big thanks to the lady wearing this brand at Aldi who recommended them to me. You were right they are awesome!!

Great for my feet and cute too!
Coming from a pair of Chaco ZX2's with Vibram soles that I wore out over the course of 7 years, these are great! The level of quality and comfort I expect from Chaco. They are a little bit squishy compared to classic Chacos, which provides for good comfort but I'm not sure about durability - time will tell. It feels like maybe the arch support is not as high, but I think that could be just the difference between forgiving vs. unforgiving material. I like that they are lighter and thinner. I do not have a complaint about the texture of the footbed that others have mentioned causing them pain. My guess is that if you can handle the waffle footbed of the original Chaco - which some cannot, all our feet are different - you can probably handle this. These do run a little smaller than the classic - the 9 fits me perfectly, whereas the 9 in classic was a little big for me. As for the styling, I got rave reviews from coworkers the first time I wore them in public, with the Celtic Azurite webbing. So pretty! Some recommendations for common complaints: 1. Adjust the heck out of them, that's the whole point of having Chacos. 2. If the footbed hurts at first, try powering through it (indoors!). Your feet may adjust - mine did. 3. The end of the strap dangles down to the ground if you don't have wide feet. Tuck it up and under the strap behind the buckle but in front of the heel riser, then back down under itself on the outside, to make a little flat loose knot. It will stay in place.

Already Impressed
I’ve wanted a pair of Chacos ever since I borrowed my aunt’s for a rafting trip at age 14. Now at 25 I’m planning a whitewater trip of my own, so I finally went for it. So far I’m pleased. Since (almost) every strap is adjustable, you get a custom fit that hugs your feet. I’ll never have to worry about the current tugging them off or my feet slipping around when they’re wet. Last night I walked around in them and the support is really nice. I also ended up walking out in the rain a bit and they stayed tight and comfy. My only complaint is that the heel strap is the only one you can’t adjust, so it’s a tiny bit loose (not enough to lose a star though, since the other straps still keep your foot snug). I usually wear a 9.5 and decided to go up to the 10, which was a good plan. My heel sits very close to the back of the shoe, and I think it’s easier to tighten a slightly larger size than loosen a small one, plus it gives my toes a little extra buffer. Overall they feel sturdy, fit well, and the orange pair I got is really pretty cute!

Finally found a Chaco that works for me
I have flat feet and more pronation on one foot, which is to say I have an uneven gait which has caused a host of minor feet/ankle issues over the years. What works best for me are my standard, light-weight Brooks shoes, but I have wanted to relieve my feet of shoes for years and never found sandals that are - comfortable for walks/running errands, durable, and good-looking, all at the same time! I read rave reviews of the Chaco ZCloud, and bought those first, but they were too heavy and the arch was hurting my flat foot quite a bit. I decided to break them in and thought I'll get used to the weight, but even after a month I didn't, so I returned them, and decided to give the Zvolves a try. The Zvolves are MUCH lighter, the straps are higher quality (or at least better looking) and the arch isn't as high, which doesn't make feel like my sandal is stabbing me throughout my walk. Have had mine for 3 months now, and absolutely love them. Also, they look super cute!

Love style, fit, and color
I love these! My first pair of this style I bought at a local store several years ago, and wanted a second pair since the first pair I use a lot for gardening on our property, which is sloped, and they provide support and some traction. I love that they are adjustable since straps run between rubber sole, so you can adjust each area to fit. I wasn't sure of color (Nickel) but they are even more attractive than I'd hoped. They are worth the price- I know because I've put the first pair through a lot and they have not worn down. The strap has gotten dirty at times which is easy to clean, but they don't seem to get dirty easy, even when I using them in the dirt! One more thing, I usually wear size 7 1/2 in shoes, and some sandals I've ordered in 7 because you don't really need or want extra room at end, But for some reason the 8 fits me well in this style with my toe and heel landing perfectly at each end. I have ordered several pairs of Chacos Petaluma MJ Trail Hiking Shoe, all in 7 1/2 and for that style my normal size is perfect.
