Good quality belt

I think this belt is an excellent value for its price.

I have grown tired of the ratchet-type belts that are fairly ubiquitous these days. I decided to try a standard type belt again.This belt has a very classic look. The buckle has an aged pewter look that is classy. The leather itself is quite thick. The stitching looks nice, but the thread is lighter-duty than I would prefer.The leather is of good quality. I only found a few small imperfections in the hide, and I only saw those because I was specifically looking. The leather is firm, but still supple enough to wrap around the waist.I ordered the standard waist size plus two inches, and the belt fit exactly as it should.My prime complaint is that the belt smells TOO much like leather. There must be a lot of the tanning chemicals left in the leather. I ended up having to leave the belt in our garage for a few days, hoping it would off-gas some of the smell. Even with that, it has quite an odor. I enjoy the smell of leather, but this was a bit much.

Nice looking belt although it's a bit on the thin side. Also came with a chemical odor that is slowly dissipating.All in all I'm satisfied with the belt and would buy it again.

Very nice belt for the price. Well made. There only one issue. It smells. It has a very strong, chemical order coming from it. This is the second one I bought, the first being brown, this one is black. The smell went away on the brown one but it took awhile. If you are sensitive to chemicals, avoid this belt.
