Decent light up sword
I encountered 1 issue where the batteries did not fit (same brand of batteries). I was able to get a replacement where all of the batteries fit.LIKES:- Allows you to choose your color at a push of a button- When you are not striking the light up sword, there is no sound- Ability to link 2 swords together to make a dual swordDISLIKES:- I wish there was an option to have the humming of a light saber. But maybe that isn't permitted as this isn't an official "lightsaber"So far, so good. My kid knows the difference between a toy and with playing with it gently.

These are fun and good for 3-6 year olds BUT…
These are inexpensive and not necessarily durable light sabers. I give them three stars because the price is right for getting three of these in the pack AND they do come with batteries! THE BIG BUT….the battery cover doesn’t have a screw in the lid. I do not like this at all for battery safety! I will always have to monitor the kids while they play with these. These are very short and lightweight thus why I say these are perfect for 3-6 year old kids. These light up with so many different colors. The sound is great when you touch the light saber to something and also when you move it around in the air. There is like an electrical sound emitting from the saber which the kids like. These are a bit loud and there is no volume control!!! Not sure how long these will last typical kid wear and tear.

Not too great
I couldn't wait to get these. I was so happy that they came in a 3 pack even. I was thinking perfect for my 3 youngest grandchildren, plus I've got a couple of other ones for my other half AKA my biggest kid. They got here and they come with their own batteries, but also in three separate pieces each. There's a handle and the clear part that screws over the light at the end of the handle, plus a little piece that screws into the other end. The battery compartment was a pain to try and find. So was the power switch on the side. I also had a problem with the clip piece on one of the battery covers that broke off as soon as I attempted to open it. Fortunately I was able to find a way to get it open anyways, it was just a little inconvenient.Once I put the batteries in it would immediately make a bunch of noise and light up for like 30 seconds, everyone of them did this. Then I couldn't get it to do anything after that, to begin with.Eventually we found another very well hid button. It turns out that button controls the light on it. Each time you tap it it changes the color of the light on the 8th time then it will start rotating through the colors on its own. It definitely looks a little cool when it's lighting up and all that. But unfortunately other than when you first put the batteries in or first turn it on, it really doesn't seem to make any noise. At least not for a while after we turned it on again. We tried shaking it moving it around hitting the different buttons. Then my granddaughter smacked it on my pillows. At that point it actually made the same noise it does when it's first turned on. After that any tap made it make another noise again.Once we turned it off and turned it back on though it did the same thing again where it didn't seem to want to make any noise at all. Except when you first turn the switch on.My guess is it's supposed to make noise when two of them hit together. Though I don't fully get why it doesn't make noise a little more often, though I will say if it were too sensitive it would maybe drive the adults a little batty after a while. So that could actually be a good thing it doesn't constantly make noise. So even if we had a rocky start with getting them going, they've turned out to be a very fun item to have around. They aren't the strongest material, but strong enough to hold up. They seem like they'll last for a while at least. They feel sturdy once fully assembled. Plus once you find all the switches and buttons as well as the battery compartment then they're pretty easy to handle, though admittedly I have to search for the power switch pretty much every single time. Now that I know approximately where it is on the handle at least I don't have to search up and down in the entire thing. The button that controls the light is directly above the power switch so that helps.
