Such a great book. I bought it thinking it will be another feminist read but the book was beyond any expectations. I read the book in couple of sittings only. I forgot to eat and drink also as I was so consumed by this book. This is the story of conviction, struggle, betrayal, will power and above all, LOVE. It talks just not about human emotions but also about the living conditions of women in Iran. It tells about what being a muslim women in a conservative muslim country means. The book is so fast paced that it feels one is watching a movie. Then i came to know that atually a movie ws made on this book. My husband whose choice of books is completely different of mine also read this book and found it engrossing. So, yes, this book is for everyone :)

This novel is an eye opener to a mother’s struggle to get her daughter back from the confinements. When it comes to our kids we can’t let our guards down. Must read story.

Depressing though well written
