Organic Chia Oil | 8 oz

Obsolutly fresh tasting. This is my second purchase & I am again happy with this oil. I store my chia seed oil in the fridge. I use it for cooking & I simply love putting it alone on toast.

I am nearly 67 years old and I lost about 95 pounds two and a half years ago... which means I have a lot of wrinkles now. I heard that Chia Oil was very good for your skin and hair, so I decided to try this. WOW! It has made such a difference! I also rub it into my hands - and if I didn't have arthritis, you'd think I was in my 20s based on how my skin looks! I still have wrinkles, but the Chia Oil makes them less prominent. My skin has a bit of a glow to it now. I like it better than coconut, jojoba oils and shea butter. I have to say the container is not the best. They say to keep it in the refrigerator. When you do that, the container becomes very hard and you cannot squeeze some drops out. I transfer it to a smaller glass bottle that has an eyedropper. If you want a very clean moisturizer that doesn't break the bank, try chia oil! Sadly the price has almost doubled since I started buying this - so I may not be buying it again. It was nice while it lasted.

I liked that the flavor was so mild. I used it on my raw salads. It made a huge difference. It made the salads more satisfying.

I used this product to moisturize my face at night. If you use oils to moisturize, you may want to try Chia Oil. I have extremely dry skin and have tried Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Grapeseed Oil. I found that Grapeseed and Argan weren't moisturizing enough so I went to the heavier oils - Avocado, Sweet Almond, Olive and Jojoba but found them to be too thick.Enter Chia Seed. From trying a korean chia seed beauty serum from The Face Shop, I noticed that my skin felt moisturized and baby soft. I wanted to go a little more natural so I bought pure Chia Oil. The oil is thin (similar in consistency to Grapeseed or Argan) but it absorbs quickly and moisturizes as well as the heavier oils without leaving my face too shiny. It has the benefits of the heavier oils with the texture of a lighter oil. Apply after cleansing with your face lightly damp, massage it into your skin to allow it to absorb. Depending on your skin, you could use a few drops but I tend to like my face completely drenched so I use a small palmful.The oil has a slightly nutty or exotic scent that I don't love but am willing to overlook because of it's effectiveness. Also beware that the oil stains light colored linens and clothes.
