EPLO Smart Toilet with Powerful Flush, Auto Open/Close,Foam Shield, Elongated Heated Seat, ADA Comfort Height Bidet Toilet,Instant Warm Water&Dryer,Temp Display - iX7-PRO

I do a fair bit of research before buying things and this smart toilet was no exception. Eplo has a good reputation, and is rated well on Amazon and this toilet had all the features I wanted (automatic open and close, automatic flush, heated seat, foam dispenser, heated water with a system that provides continuously warm water (there is nothing worse than starting out with warm water then getting hit with a blast of cold water once the warm water runs out) and the option to switch things off (opening sensor, beeping, eco mode, etc.) The existing toilet this replaced was beautiful (Kohler Avoir) but stupid - no bidet function. It had a weird connection point (1/2" FIP to 3/4" compression). The Eplo toilet has either a 1/2" or 3/8" connection. So I changed out the valve (which was straight up from the floor) with a 1/2"FIP to 1/2" compression. The distribution valve provided has an inner ring so it can connect to either 1/2" or 3/8". I just remove the adapter so the 1/2" compression fit right on my 1/2" FIP to 1/2" compression. BTW I could not find a straight shutoff valve of 1/2" FIP to 1/2" compression shut off valve with 1/4 turn at Home Depot. I did find and buy one at Do it Best and it fit perfectly. Most stores carry 1/2" to 3/8" compression which would have worked also with the adapter provided by Eplo but I wanted the least amount of adapters installed. Installing the toilet is easy. They give you a template to mark the outline of the toilet based on the waste hole. Just use a marker to mark the outline and remove the template. I installed the bolts and side connectors right to the fitting on the floor used for the old toilet. They provide a wax ring which fits on the underside of the toilet. Then you just line up the toilet with the outline on the floor and set it in place. The receptacle is tapered so it is easy to install so you don't have to worry about messing up the wax ring. The side bolts lined up perfectly and then you just need to shim if required (for uneven floors). You then remove the outline with some goof off and caulk around the bottom of the toilet. Very straightforward and easy. I did email Eplo through Amazon regarding my shutoff valve and their adapter. They video called me back the same day. After I had finished the install I had some questions about the operation of some of the features. They again called me back the same day. Obviously in this day and age, that kind of customer service is off the charts. I bought the IX7 which is tankless (so is the Avoir). This is something to consider if you have low water pressure. I knew I had good water pressure since I was replacing a tankless toilet with a tankless toilet. If you have low pressure you may want to opt for the toilet with the tank (PRO version), but mine flushes great. I did try and ensure there were no restrictions to the toilet (kept the shutoff valve straight, used a quarter turn shutoff valve and not multi turn, used the 1/2" FIP to 1/2" compression). I can't speak to the longevity of this toilet since I have only had this installed for 2 weeks, but considering the after sales response so far, I think I'm going to be happy for a long time. BTW, if you are using a regular toilet and have not tried a bidet toilet, there is no comparison. The bells and whistles (pre flush, foam cover, kick button to raise the cover and seat for us guys, remote control) are great toys for us geeks but the best parts are the warm seat and warm water/bidet function). This toilet has it all.

At the end of last year, I began looking for and researching smart toilet bidets to replace one of our traditional toilets. A great price, quality, and a variety of features were some of the attributes that I was looking for in a bidet . As I was searching Amazon in November, I came across the iX7 MT Eplo Intelligent Toilet that checked all of the boxes for me. Some of the features that I was looking for included an adjustable water pressure, adjustable water temperature, heated seat, soft close toilet lid, night light, instant heating, foam shield, anti-bacterial seat and a warm dryer. Since the EPLO bidets were on sale for the holidays, I placed my order for the iX7 MT Eplo and waited for its arrival. After it was delivered, we ended up installing it on the first floor of our home so that my 91-year-old mom, who lives with us and finds it a challenge sometimes to ambulate to our full bath upstairs, can use it as well. It has been almost four weeks since installation and I have to say that my family and I are quite pleased with this intelligent toilet. The features are easy to use and are reliable. I did have two questions that I could not find the answers to in the manual, so I reached out to Eplo’s customer service via email for assistance. To my surprise, I received a quick response within minutes from Lee, AKA EPLO Lee. If EPLO Lee is representative of EPLO’s other customer service representatives, I would say that this department at EPLO is excellent! Not only did he answer my questions in a very timely and thorough fashion, he also provided me with video links and even offered to do a video chat! He has given me the impression that EPLO's goal is for their customers to be completely satisfied with their products. Eventually, I would like to purchase an additional bidet for my home. If this EPLO toilet continues to perform well and EPLO’s customer service continues to be excellent, I would not hesitate to purchase another EPLO Intelligent Toilet in the future.

Since I'm not a professional tradesman I get a bit anxious when taking on an installation like this. However, I found this project easier than I ever hoped. I've never installed a traditional toilet, and certainly not a smart one. After I read through the setup instructions completely, the installation seemed straightforward and guess what ... it actually was. From unboxing to having the toilet in place took about an hour. This includes going back to reference the instructions. This was to: 1) make sure I was doing things correctly and 2) double check that it truly was as easy as it seemed - and yes it was. I only had one minor glitch during the install. The toilet has a male DC battery backup that attaches to a female DC connector in back of the toilet. Because I already had the toilet in place and could no longer get behind it, I had to feel for the connector. I couldn't find it. Here's where customer support saved the day. I texted them around 8:30 PM hoping for a response the next. To my surprise, Lee from customer support video called me from Korea in less than an hour. He quickly solved my problem using a mockup of my EPLO model to visually show me where to feel for the connector. After that he spent time sharing super useful pro tips on cleaning and maintaining the toilet. He even texted me later with the link for a cost-effective foam product to use. The toilet itself is working great and looks amazing. I will update this review after a few months of use. Five stars for now because of the ease of installation, solid functionality and exceptional customer support.

We are extremely happy with this purchase and even happier with their product support. We have been using it for 2 weeks and had an issue with the cover not opening completely. I sent an email to EPLO Support and had a phone call back from China within a couple of hours. Lee walked me through the solution on video chat and gave me his number in case I needed to follow up. I cannot remember ever getting this level of customer support.
