Fits 1998-00 Ford EDIS 6 cylinder vertical primary connection. These coils feature advanced bobbin technology highly specialized silicone magnetic steel cores along with optimized winding resistance and turns ratios to delivery 10-15% more energy than the OEM coils. Specialized high temperature epoxy resists shock and vibration while increasing thermal conductivity. These are direct plug replacement for OEM coils. They feature bodies and/or secondary towers molded in ACCEL yellow and feature brass secondary contacts (except direct fire coil on plug applications). Review: I bought this coil pack in 2019 to try to fix my Ford Ranger 3.0l engine ping believing it to be a OEM compatible coil pack (according to the ad listing). Today I just failed smog inspection because this coil pack is illegal on emission vehicles in California. Review: All good

Even though the distributor shipped this one week late, which wasn't a problem. I would say it was worth the wait for me. It does wonders to my 3.8l V6 mustang and took away my pesky misfiring issue when I replaced it with wires and plugs. Simple to install and made my mustang idle better than ever before.

Bought in October 2018 and installed shortly after. Easy to install and a noticeable improvement over my 20 year old original pack but it didn't make it a year.1 of the 3 coils failed, I lost the two cylinders closest to the firewall after I parked from a long fairly spirited drive this August. I've read all of these packs can fail due to heat. These coils are much cheaper than OEM but I would want mine to last at least a few years before I could recommend them to anyone. I bought a coil from performance distributors to replace it, but IMO the smart move may be to shell out for Motorcraft.
