There can be no doubt what you are adding when you use this powder. Its truly an encapsulation of everything that is blackberries! I have never tasted a powder quite as pure and flavorful as this.For me, I am using it a lot to flavor drinks and to add to desserts. I have this really yummy vanilla ice cream that, when you sprinkle some of the blackberry powder on, turns it into an icy confection beyond compare. And you really don't need a lot to make it work.The price is definitely on the higher side but because of the purity and concentration it doesn't take more than a teaspoon to get amazing results. If you go by that as a measure, this packet will last you a LONG time!

This really does taste like wild blackberries. They have the exact flavor of the wild blackberries that grow in my backyard. The flavor is more tangy and tart than sweet. That really isn’t a problem for me since I’m always adding it to another food. I can get a true blackberry flavor when I don’t have any fresh berries. I can also get the flavor when I don’t want the seeds. The powder is ground very fine. It is free of lumps.This powder comes in a resealable bag. The expiration date is good for about two years. I like that they don’t recommend storing it in the fridge, like other freeze dried fruit powders I’ve used. This is a product of Croatia.This product is pricey compared to other similar products, but the quality does seem to be very good. A little bit of the powder does go a long way, so the 8 oz bag should last me for quite a while.

You can definitely use your imagination to make the full use of this concentrated dehydrated blackberry powder. It's super tart on its own, which means it goes really well with vanilla yogurt or vanilla ice cream. Another favorite recipe has been cottage cheese with this blackberry powder and some honey or maple syrup.
