This unit is for a large, 3", hole. Perfect replacement for my old one.

Got the job done
I was freaking out a little after cracking the faceplate on my existing pool inlet while winterizing it. This part was compatible and I had no air leaks after replacing. Fast and convenient service.

I am remodeling my pool, and I had added a second return to the pool, it was easy to install, and works great.

Works as designed, but material seems unnecessarily brittle leading to frequent failures.
This product is a necessary evil - if you have a pool designed with this fitting, you're stuck using one unless you do some modifications when you innevitably have to replace it. It WORKS as designed, however I'm not sure if the quality of the material has decreased over the years. The original fitting in my pool lasted 20 years, the first replacement lasted 10, and the most recent fitting, added in 2022 when a new liner was installed only lasted 3 years before the threads started crumbling inside and allowing water to leak out the back. Hopefully you have better luck than I do, but if you don't I'd recommend having one on hand at all times as a replacement.
