I originally purchased the AQQA Wave Maker for a non-standard purpose — not for an aquarium, but to help agitate water when rinsing sensitive lab equipment. I’m incredibly impressed with its performance! The build quality is excellent, and the adjustable flow settings make it easy to achieve just the right level of agitation without being too harsh. It’s surprisingly quiet in operation and very easy to install and control. Even though it’s designed for aquarium use, it’s proven to be a perfect solution for gently but effectively moving water around delicate instruments during cleaning. If it’s this good outside its intended use, I can only imagine how fantastic it would be in a tank! Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable, adjustable water movement device.

Picked up this AQQA Wave Maker for my 100L tank, and it's been a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, it definitely moves water - my fish seem to enjoy the current. The different wave modes are cool, and I like being able to adjust the flow speed. It's also pretty quiet, which is nice. However, it took some trial and error to get it positioned right. At first, it was too strong and was blowing my plants around. The suction cup is okay, but I'm a bit worried about its long-term staying power. The controller is a bit confusing at first, but you get used to it. One thing to note - it's bigger than I expected, so it's pretty noticeable in the tank. Overall, it does the job, but be prepared to spend some time getting it set up just right. If you're patient and don't mind a bit of tinkering, it's a decent choice for adding some flow to your tank. Just don't expect perfection right out of the box.

I bought this to add substrate cleaning to my 450l. It works very well in conjunction with another at the other end of the tank. No more unsightly mulm collecting dead spots in my tank, it gets carried away to the filter outtake which is much less hassle than gravel vacuuming. The most important characteristic is that this is totally silent. At full power it makes no discernable noise whatsoever. The control box is easy to use and adjust. I am very pleased with this product and am happy with the build quality, features and adjustability features.

Way too powerful and reducing speed seems to have no.impact. The reverse cleaning function sounded great but makes an awful sound and didn't seem to clear any debris caught in it. Avoid for freshwater.

Very powerful. On the lowest setting it blew my 4ft tank around alot. Abit too much for my set up and fish. Some of my smaller fish struggled abit and I had to send back for a less powerful one. Always reading reviews of various wave makers being under powered but that's definitely not the case with this. Ideal for fish that like a good current in large tanks. Quite big. Good control unit. Magnet works well. Plenty of cable. Noise level is quiet. Bit of vibration

Was getting so fed up of the wavemakers that attach to the glass with the suction cups - they just don't hold up and you end up having to try and fix the suction cup attachment all the time. Opted for this one... although more pricey than others it is definitely worth the extra cost. Magnet is strong and holds in place perfectly. Lots of different modes available for different wave types etc. I have a 550l 5ft tank and it creates waves perfectly and you can see the water circulation is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Ich benutze die Strömungspumpe im Gartenteich. Das funktioniert hervorragend. Es gibt sehr viele Einstellungen. Verschiedene Wellenbewegungen, Tag- Nachtmodus, Reinigungslauf etc. Bisher war sie nicht verstopft. Das ist u.a. so weil die Pumpe einen grossen Einlass hat, keine kleinen Löcher im Ansaugteil und keine Filterung mittels Schwamm o.ä. . Das Wasser wird einfach durch die relativ grosse Schraube natürlich angesaugt und dann nach vorne wieder ausgeströmt. Meine Goldfische freuen sich. Sie tummeln sich oft vor der Pumpe in der "Welle". Auch gegen zuviel Algen scheint die Wellenbewegung wirksam zu sein.

En mi caso, llegó más tarde de lo que decía. Pero la mala puntuación se la doy ya que NO variaba de velocidad ni de modo. Daba igual lo que pusieras, solo echaba un chorro fijo... Ni modo de pulsos, ni modo aleatorio,etc Si elijo una bomba con ciertas posibilidades de flujo y velocidad, y ya de nueva NO va bien, vamos apañaos. Devuelta el mismo día.
