The perfect bug out bag!
Being faced more than once with situations where I was forced to be away from home for several days I began looking for potential bug out bags (besides you never know when the next Katrina might hit). I saw this bag with its unique duffle bag/backpack layout and thought I'd give it a try. Here are my thoughts, in no particular order:-I bought the brown version, under the theory that it looks the most civilian of them all. If you're walking through the city with a military looking backpack in this day and age, the police will want a word with you. In case of civil unrest you want to look like a student in the crowd, not like a SWAT operator.-In the main compartment of the bag (there is a divider in it but one compartment collapses to make room for the other) I was able to fit a pair of sneakers (wrap them in a plastic bag so you won't get mud on anything), a pair of jeans, two pairs of socks, two pairs of underwear, two undershirts, and a toiletry bag with toothpaste, toothbrush, bar of soap, and cup. In the large outer pocket (it's the vertical zipper to the right of the carrying handle in the photo) I put a folded up beach towel. In the small outer pocket (the horizontal zipper beneath the Molle straps on the photo) I store the detachable shoulder strap that makes it a shoulder bag when it's not in use.-Sorry to break this to you but this is NOT waterproof. I put it under the faucet to test. It is water RESISTANT and it will do what it can to bead rain off, but expect heavy rain to soak through. This isn't a deal breaker for me since the myriad pouches, blankets, or whatever I'd be strapping on outside of the bag probably won't be waterproof either. I got a waterproof backpack cover and I keep it folded up in the small outer pocket literally for a rainy day (a 65 L cover protected the Molle pouch, solar smartphone charger and camp stool nicely.)-On the Molle attachments I put a Condor large utility bag (it's marketed as 8X8 which is the perfect size for the back but the flap is expandable to hold larger items), into which I put an MRE.-On the side of the bag opposite from the photo there is a pocket for a water bottle. When the bag is stuffed full you won't be able to use it, and the pocket is in such an out of the way location that you wouldn't be able to reach it when its on your back anyway. I have a 2 liter milsurp canteen so this is trivial to me, I put a few emergency foil blankets in this pocket instead. Otherwise, put the water bottle in the pocket before you start packing the bag.-For those unfamiliar with the Molle system, don't let it intimidate you- it allows you to attach other accessories in whatever layout you'd like.. The attachable accessory (in my case, a Condor Utility pouch) has vertical straps on the back of it. Slide the straps though the top horizontal strap of the backpack, but ONLY THE TOPMOST ONE. Then slide the straps through the topmost vertical straps on the attachable accessory, but ONLY THE TOPMOST ONE. Then, slide it through the second vertical strap on the backpack, then through the second vertical strap on the accessory. Continue this to create a basket weave between the straps on the bag and the straps on the accessory. Snap the straps on the accessory closed, and that accessory isn't going anywhere. If you prefer two smaller bags, or a smaller bag and a water bottle holder, it's entirely up to you.-The two Molle straps shown in the photo are removable. I'm not sure what those are for. Maybe to attach a pouch made for a belt?-The bag has D rings everywhere, onto which I clip a solar Smartphone charger. The bag as straps to ensure the bag remains closed. If you widen them all the way you can strap down a rolled up rain jacket.-It fits comfortably on the back (it has two hard foam internal back braces to make the bag keep its shape when empty and to cushion the back) and the shoulder straps are padded nicely. The shoulder straps have more D rings so you can clip on a cell phone pouch. Just because you're out and about it doesn't mean you can't listen to your tunes. There are probably a lot of other uses I haven't discovered yet (I'm sure I could strap down a rolled up blanket on the top with a bungee cord somehow). With this bag I would be able to carry enough items to live 48 hours quite comfortably, which is exactly what a bug-out bag is supposed to do. It even makes for a good improvised pillow! Thus, I now have the bug out bag I've been looking for. Just don't forget your Swiss Army knife and Compass!EDIT- I just figured out how to put a blanket roll on this. Get a couple of those OneTigris Molle D ring clips and put them on the top tightening straps on each side of the bag (the bag does have a D ring but it's only on one side.) Take those two long extra removable straps and buckle them together to make one long strap. Put this strap through your blanket roll (as in just roll up your blanket around the strap) and thread the ends through the OneTigris D rings and that rolled up flap on the top. The two D rings hold the blanket to the top of the bag securely and the rolled up flap pushed the blanket away from your head and ensures it doesn't bounce against the back of your head as you're hiking. This is the Swiss Army Knife of bags!

Works great for traveling
Works great when I travel for work. Fits a pair of shoes my laptop a couples jeans and a few shirts in the main compartment. socks and underwear on the front compartment as well as my toiletries. It also works well for a carry-on for domestic flights.

Materials used on straps too slippery
This bag would have been ok if it weren't for the fact that the web straps are too slippery and won't stay tensioned properly. Also, if I'd noticed that there's only one opening for the main compartment, and that the opening is on the side and not the front of the bag, I wouldn't have bought it.

Pockets
I could pack for three, bag hooks so much for it's size, seems to be made it off thick material

Fake—-total illusion
The bag seemed so cool at first. Took no time to notice straps that wouldn’t stay put. First trip I took with it and barely gone anywhere and zipper broke then another strap unraveled and I was stuck carrying computer and other stuff in it under my arm like an idiot… was it’s own small part of a bigger nightmare that little trip I know I definitely lost some significant belongings with that bag which I was going to return but due to its uselessness I either lost it on way home or my partner threw it away I definitely regret the purchase these people didn’t sew real stitches or make real pockets

Cool bag.
Great bag for the price. My only wish is that the shoulder strap had a sturdier clip but again, for the price I'm not mad at all.

dont use the shoulder strap if you are carrying any weight
Bag is okay, large enough, functions as a back pack but when using the shoulder strap BOTH connections to the pack ripped away from the backpack body. Stitching is poor and now concerned that it will continue to unravel with use.
