It's nostalgic and beautiful that I'm drawn to it.
I am a beginner at tarot, and whenever I choose a deck to purchase, I tend to be drawn to the art style and the readability of the cards as a whole. Initially, I wasn't sure which deck to choose between Tarot Mucha and Ethereal Visions because I loved the art nouveau style in both of these decks and it just feels so nostalgic. I had to get this deck since it was the right time to buy it, and I am satisfied with this purchase. I love that the art style has elements of art nouveau with a twist of the artist's style and the colors are very soft, giving that very nostalgic feel that reminds me of watercolors.I don't find that the gold foiled stamps to be distracting, and rather adds a touch of elegance of each card on the framing and the details; it's beautiful. Somehow I really like that the gold foil is added to the unique framing of each card, enhancing the image in a subtle way. I like the backing of the card: it has green leaves and a purple design that makes it reversible. Others may say it looks dull, I don't, and it seems to add that feminine touch and balances out the gold foiling. Not to mention, the box it came in is of great quality, and it looks luxurious. Some downsides I have of this deck that the card is a little too big for my small hands, but once I had gotten to work with this deck, it became easier to shuffle. Also, the LWB I feel like is pretty brief, with the major arcana with a description and keywords, while the minor arcana gets only keywords, which may be unhelpful for beginners. However, I feel like the minor arcana are pretty easy to read, so I would think that the keywords act as a hint to guide our intuition.Overall, I feel like this deck can be used for beginner and experts, as the images are pretty relevant to the Rider-Waite format, and beginners can pick up on the imagery from understanding the Rider-Waite imagery. This is my second deck, as my first deck was an indie deck, and I enjoy working with this deck. I would recommend this deck to anyone who resonates with the artwork and is looking for a deck that has elements of Rider-Waite imagery.

Now the best and most beautiful deck I own, filled with wonderful energy and elegance
This is easily the best, most beautiful and unique Tarot deck I own, and yet it isn't even the most expensive! Frankly I can't believe I got a deck like this for under $20 and that's including shipping. While I understand what another reviewer says about finding the gold stamping to be a bit "garish", I don't really agree, I think it's lovely. That being said though, I would happily spend twice as much on an edition that is illuminated with silver stamping instead of gold. I think the art style and color palette of this deck would just naturally look a lot better with soft, feminine silver. Maybe something for the artist to think about! The card stock is wonderful and the illumination makes this feel like the most special and indeed ethereal deck. It feels opulent without being gaudy. One reviewer didn't care for it but I personally love that the numbers of the Majors are all in different places and sizes. It makes each card feel more unique and whole unto itself, thereby giving the whole deck - especially the Majors - even more distinction. I haven't seen another deck that does that, that I know of, so I appreciate the originality. With almost every single Tarot deck I own (and even a couple of my oracle decks), there are at least one or two cards that have depictions I just don't feel like really work with the meaning or simply aren't well done artistically...not so with this deck! I found every single interpretation and representation to be pretty great. However, some people might take issue with the fact that the hand in the Ace of Swords is holding it by the blade (something I don't think I've ever seen before) and I can understand why, but I choose to see it as an illustration of mastery...anyone can at least hold a sword by the handle, but only the Ace, who represents the pure essence of the suit and its element, would be able to grasp it by the blade and not be hurt by it. I feel that this is what Matt Hughes meant to convey with this unique choice. Reversed, I would take this particular Ace of Swords to perhaps mean that one is abusing the energy of the suit or is in no position to attempt to wield a sword or they will only hurt someone, likely themselves. Seeing this card in reverse could also be humbling for a blustery air sign who is all talk and thinks they handle their "sword" better than they actually do. I know I've encountered people like that many times. And this deck truly works, and definitely resonates with me personally. It is very "me", as I am a huge fan of art nouveau and the overall look and color scheme are favorites. I highly recommend taking time to charge and attune this deck to your personal energy, and one of my favorite things to do in that regard is to hold the deck to my heart and let my heartbeat vibrate through all the cards. One particular card came up three different times in the few readings I did upon first receiving this and charging it, including the "card of the day" pull, and the different questions the same card answered ended up tying together pretty interestingly. So it works! I has energy and magic for sure and you can only enhance it with a simple charging/attuning/dedication ritual. My only "problem" is that this is so very beautiful and special that I'm afraid to use it too much for risk of damaging it, particularly the illumination. Just need to be careful! I have been watching and waiting for this deck since it was on Kickstarter and I am so thrilled to finally have it. Any Tarot reader and especially collector needs this deck, particularly if you are a fan of art nouveau.Cannot wait for Matt's Dreamscape oracle now!

BEAUTIFUL
Absolutely gorgeous. I am just starting my Tarot collection and this was one that immedietly caught my attention. There was so much care and thought into the design. Just beautiful. Easy to shuffle, the little book is so perfect for learning your deck. I use an app that also explains their meanings but having a little on hand booklet is very helpful. I just can't get enough of this deck.
