Top quality light with some great features
I've just added a log cabin to the property and wanted a security light to illuminate the garden so that the security camera does its thing more reliably at night. The cabin will be mostly used as a leisure overspill but we will sometimes have overnight guests in it and I was concerned about the light being on all the time when that happened. This light comes with a remote which is perfect because it permits the light to be easily turned off without the need for a separate isolation switch outside the cabin, which means when relaxing in the garden at night you don't have to be constantly floodlit if you don't want to be. The remote also allows you to control the sensitivity of the PIR and the light duration and delay. It's really comprehensive. I like the fact that you can adjust the warmth of the light but I probably won't use it muchIt's well built, and is IP66 rated so it should withstand the elements and the PIR is excellent, and easily triggered by any movement in the garden. The field is expansive and easily floodlights my 30m garden.for the price, this is an absolute bargain and I'm going to consider another for the front garden.

Security light - with a twist
It has taken me a while to post this review because, although I had tested it on the bench, I wanted to install it (replacing an old broken unit) and be able to give a genuine view on it's ease of installation (or otherwise) & it's performance in the evening. To be fair, installation was made easier by the fact that I already had a mains wired junction box. The manufacturer supplies bolts to mount the fixture to the wall. These, although decent of them to supply, they are bit overkill in my opinion as my previous ,much heavier lamp, was firmly secured by two 1.5 inch screws in wall plugs. I did the same with this unit and it's not going anywhere! The only draw back was that, as the bracket had mounting holes cut out to accommodate the supplied bolts, I had to add washers to widen the screw heads. The rest of the installation was very easy. Just make sure that you have isolated the mains before connecting anything - or, if in doubt, call an electrician! What do I like about this light? A lot really. One of the main feature for me is the supplied remote control which allows set-up of brightness, colour temperature, working hours, time on, PIR/no-PIR and sensitivity etc. After the years, I've spent messing around, up a ladder, with a screwdriver to adjust sensitivity and 'light on' duration, I found the remote a real bonus. though I don't suspect I will need to use it too often unless I've got my settings off or perhaps after a power outage when I imagine the settings will be lost. The light output variations are quite good too and I don't think my photos do justice to this. My only slight concern is the quality of the attached (ample length- I had to cut quite a lot off) cable. It's thinner than the cable supplied on previous, lower wattage. LED security fixtures and I wonder how it will fare in the variable UK weather?

Very Useful
This light is just what I needed for my workshop. Having recently upgraded my fluorescent light strip to a 5’ LED baton light which was a great improvement, there was still a dark area over my workbench which required a brighter light. As this LED spotlight is mains powered, I split the lighting cable with a 3-way junction box and wired both lights up to it. There was ample cable to reach the required position of the light.I’m pretty sure I will not need all of the functions this light has – including the colours as it is there to allow me to see more clearly. I also don’t really need the movement sensor so am pleased this can effectively be turned off. I may use these functions in the future if I swap this light for another, but for now it works very well for what I need. The light comes with a couple of good anchor screws although I did.t need these as I was bolting the light to metal roof braces. The cable is twin and earth which I like as often these things come with just live and neutral. Overall, I am very pleased with the light as it gives good, bright coverage where it is need most.

Good Value
Amazing for the price. Fitted this, replacing the one I put up last year, which was already rusting out and very flimsy. This seems a lot sturdier, but more than that has a PIR motion detector built in, which makes it better value too. It's very bright, at 50 watts, perhaps a little too much, and I've had to angle it to the ground more than the last one for fear it might dazzle the neigbours. I used the softest colur though, which makes it a lot less glaring, but still lights up everything very well. You can dim the brightness down to 10 percent, but I tend to leave it set at the highest setting as I want the deterrent effect. Overall, very pleased.
