Duerr's Traditional English Mint Sauce - 9.9oz (280g)

It is not Crosse & Blackwell Mint Sauce - which apparently does not exist anymore - but, that being said, it is really good tasting. I think that it is a little thicker but not even close to mint jelly. We hav gone through a period of exploration and this will probably become a regular in our refrigerator.

To me this tastes like poison, but my husband, who is a big fan of mint sauce, thought that this was the best!! It has a nice vinegar base and is equivalent to the one we used to be able to get at the local supermarket.

Had roast lamb on our menu and went to the store for mint sauce and couldn’t find any. Ordered this - received overnight delivery and sure glad we did! This is the best mint sauce for roast lamb! It is thick enough to not run off. Not sweet like a mint jelly. The taste and texture are wonderful. The easy open jar is a delight for old hands. If you are having roast lamb, you need this mint sauce.

With leg of lamb, this mint sauce fit the bill! However, the ingredients need to be in the description or a picture of the label. Here's what I found on Duerr's website: Ingredients: Spirit Vinegar, Water, Malt Vinegar (from barley), Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Dried Mint (5%), Cornflour, Salt, Colour: Copper Chlorophyllin; Stabliser: Xanthan Gum; Spearmint Oil. Would have preferred to have fewer ingredients.

This year, I served lamb for Thanksgiving meal. I’m not so fond of mint, but it’s supposed to pair well with lamb so searched for a good lamb sauce and gave it a try. I hit the jackpot with Mary Duerr’s mint sauce. It is delicious! Not too minty - it has a spicy, savory bite to it. Great with lamb and great as a dipping sauce for whatever. The rest of my family and friends loved it too. We slathered it on lamb sandwiches the next day. If you are looking for a good spicy mint sauce, give this one a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Item was delivered timely, however the bottle was broke and sauce had leaked out into the buble wrapping. It could not be used so into the trash it went. I was bummed out because i really wanted to try the brand.
