Very solid, high quality cutting tool.
Very well built utility knife. I like the weight of the solid brass body of this knife. The milled texture on this make it easy to hold on to while using, opening and closing. This is a high quality pocket tool.

Awesome compact and convenient little knife
I’ve used this knife for almost a year at my job and it really is a high quality item. The slim compact design makes it so easy to keep in my back pocket and pull out to use at a moments notice when I only have one free hand available. I got some matching gold colored titanium blades just for the heck of it, and several coworkers have remarked how cool and stylish it looks (for whatever that’s worth). Changing the blade takes about a minute so if you go through blades quickly it might not be the best option, but that’s not an issue for me. If I ever lose this knife, I’ll certainly be buying another.

This will outlive me
I generally don’t write product reviews, but this milspin pocket utility razor is more than worth it! This is machine out of solid brass. It’s got a good hefty weight to it, but it’s not too much. The blade is easily deployed and retracted, it comes apart with no tools, and it has an extra blade in it. It literally has the feel of a colt 1911 slide to frame fit. This is my new forever pocket, utility knife!!! Best of all it’s made in the United States!

Great for painters
This is perfect for painters. It is the perfect size allowing you to keep it in your palm when pulling plastic or rosin paper. You don’t need to put it away, if you spend many hours masking you’ll know how convenient it is. Also it feels great holding, perfect weight

Good quality, not safe for pocket carry.
After 22 years of carrying the same Sheffield folding utility knife in my right front pocket every single day, I finally lost it somewhere. It was worn smooth and getting pretty loose but it still worked great. The pocket clip had fallen off years ago and I found I really preferred carrying it my pocket instead of clipped to it. I came across this Milspin while looking for a replacement and I liked the machining, brass, pocket factor, made by veterans, and the fact that it was made here in the USA. I just received it today and the machining and fit and finish is very good, the design and engineering are great, but it is not a suitable "pocket" tool. The slide mechanism is far to easy to move. Mine had slid out to the first notch while still in its protective shipping tube. It takes almost no pressure to move the the button the less than 1/16 of an inch it needs to depress in order to unlock the slide. I opened it up and thought maybe I could shim the spring to give it more pressure but there is no room to add anything. I did stretch the spring slightly hoping that would help but it didn't. I work in a shop doing welding, machining, woodworking, and mechanical work all day long. There is no way I can have this thing in my pocket getting bumped and bounced around without it opening. I will keep it because it is good quality and I want to support an American and Veteran owned company, but it is absolutely not able to be carried in a pocket and remain closed. If you are wanting something to keep on your desk and open packages with, this would be great. But sadly it is not a tool that can be worked with every day. Now I am back to hoping my 22 year old Sheffield knife finds its way back to me.

Lifetime buy, if you make the necessary update
I've had this thing for a couple months now. This is a solid 5-star item. However, a star is removed because we the customer are required to make it 5-star. It will come to you 3, maybe 2, star. But it is fixable The spring that this knife comes with is too weak. I don't know how Milspin came to the conclusion that this was the right spring. The action feels sloppy, it opened in my pocket more than once. Bad razor behavior. If the spring in this thing wasn't replaceable, I would have long abandoned it I've attached a picture of the proper spring you're going to need to add. You need the one on the left, the thinner junkass one is on the right. Maybe you have one in your jar of springs, maybe you need to order from McMaster Carr. Closest equivilant (with cursory, non-exhaustive search) is mcmaster PN 9657K623. But Milspin should be buying these springs and at purchase, offering either both or as a "for $1 more, add this stiffer spring" if need be. As far as fidget-ability goes, this thing is in a class of its own. 10 stars on that front (with the proper spring. With the stock spring, it's kinda sloppy trash) The spring you want is 0.38 (3/8) in. long, has a wire diameter of 0.039 in., and has an ID of ~0.25 in. You need one for this to be a good buy. But with the spring change, it's a great buy EDIT: Dang I'll be back to give that fifth star soon enough. Daily now, for the months since I've had it (read: replaced the spring in it), I add points to it's howard-roark-like utilitarian usefullness best-tool-for-the-job factor. It's made "the best" with no bother about anything else. It's one of my favorite items to both cut with (first place in all utility blades) and also play with. (needs that spring tho. I have since bought a second one and I marvel at the softness of the OEM spring. It feels like broken)

Epic EDC knife
Great packaging, all around awesome little Micro utility knife, came with blades but can use any razor blade of your choice, easy to open and slide safety is stiff enough to pocket carry, brass finish is awesome, love supporting a US made product and veteran owned business. Utility knives can be boring, but they don’t have to be!
