Excellent, smells delicious, not lube!
Excellent product! I ordered Hustle Butter because it’s got a catchy name. When it arrived, I noted it says on the tub “Contains Mangos”, this, combined with the fact that it smells gorgeous, led me to become adventurous. At first I decided that I’d try it out as a lube. Unfortunately that didn’t work very well, I won’t go into details but it involved some firemen having to come round and help remove me from the keyhole in the door. After that exhausting and frankly embarrassing night, I decided the next morning that I should toast some tiger bread and give it a try as an interesting alternative to Nutella or Jam! It’s fantastic, definitely my new favourite. Unfortunately however, I didn’t throw away the tub of regular butter that I had in the fridge, opting to use it as a way of helping my tattoo heal instead. This had made the ink run and my arm swell significantly. It created a mess on my arm, it looked like my tattoo artist was 7 years old or I’d been in for an absinthe drinking session with Van Gogh. Thankfully this problem was easily fixed because tattoo’s are forever, but your arms aren’t if you don’t want them to be. So I cut it off, but after cutting my arm off and seeing it from a different angle, I’ve decided that I did actually quite like the tattoo after all. I currently have it sitting on my fireplace as a nice thing to look at and occasionally rub it with some hustle butter just to keep it well preserved.

So Worth The Money!
I was recommended this product by my tattoo artist after the first sitting of a half-sleeve tattoo. I resisted purchasing for a few days as I had already bought a aftercare kit by Tattoo Goo.However, when the dreaded itches set in around day four of healing, I bit the bullet (driven mad by the itches - arghh!) and bought this - it worked wonders!I used this, in conjunction with the Tattoo Goo wash and lotion (their salve has been redundant) from then on and I’ve had no issues from then on, my second sitting healing was itch-free and a second tattoo I had done during the second sitting on my collarbone has been no bother. Not even bra-strap rub was an issue. Both healed really well.Side-tip - don’t think you can just go down to the supermarket and buy Bepanthan, it was always recommend before but they’ve changed the formula so it actually makes tattoos bleed colour. This happened to me a few years ago. Tattoos cost a lot of money so protect and look after your investment by spending a bit more on proper tattoo care.

Must have for tattoo lovers
I have had many tats in the last, have alway used benthapen (or wherever is called). This cream has literally changed my life, it’s very easy to apply, other creams are sometimes quite thick, it also keeps the skin moist but not wet for most part of the day.I will not use any other cream moving forward. Love it***UPDATE*** y’all, I had to give you an update. Been using this, twice a day for the past 3 days. I can not tell you how amazing this cream is, there is almost no scabbing whatsoever, redness gone within a couple of days, no itching...Just and FYI, I have been using the tattoo goo soap too 🙌🏽

Good stuff
I bought this almost a year ago, and after being caught out by my last cream (I only get tattoos twice a year), I decided to see how it stood the test of time. I kept it in a cupboard, and I wish I'd kept it in the fridge. During the heatwave it melted, and has not reset itself since. However, I still use it. It's a bit gritty and I leave it in the fridge permanently now, it still works well as far as I can tell. That being said, it really soothes the itch for me and is very easily applied. You can overdo it as it melts to the skin so use sparingly after the first few tender days are over. It won't matter so much days 1 & 2, really helps bring down the swelling.

Quite thick so beware if you’re scabbing
After 20 years I decided it was time for another tattoo - and a full Polynesian sleeve at that. Last time my artist told me Preparation H ointment was the way to go and to be honest that served me well, but I thought given the scale of this project I needed something a bit more specialised. My brother in law recommended this after his full sleeve so I placed my order. In short, it’s thick. Imagine the consistency of coconut oil but something that doesn’t melt with the heat of your hands like that does. As such smearing it onto a fresh, sore and starting to scab tattoo isn’t fun. It smells pretty nice in a subtle kind of way, although as the day wears on the scent changes and the coconut oil in it starts to come through - on me at least.I will be using it but I think it’s better suited to maybe a few days in - not on the fresh work as due to the thickness it is kinda draggy and pulls bits off the scabs which obviously you’re trying to avoid.I do actually have a jar of coconut oil which I’ve reverted to for now (that melts with body heat so is much nicer to apply in the early phases of healing) but this I’ll go back to once things settle a bit as it soaks in better and smells nicer. More of a longer term thing I think.Quite pricey too considering the size of the tub, when a large jar of coconut oil is only a few quid.

Great stuff
I have tried multiple different products for tattoo aftercare. Most recently, I’ve had slight allergic reactions to my latest 2 tattoos - extreme itchiness and a rash. I couldn’t even sleep as they were so itchy it was waking me up. This is when I decided to give this product a go. I applied the hustle butter and I can barely feel an itch at all any more, it seems to be healing great! It smells lovely too, it smells good enough to eat! Easy to apply too, a little goes a long way and it glides straight on to the skin. Only downside is it’s very greasy, I put a light bandage or clothing over where I’ve applied it so it doesn’t stick to everything. Definitely recommended.
