hava: Thermally Insulated Folding Sit Mat

On a day out recently while in a wood for a walk found a big log and decided to sit down. The log had moss on it, if I'd of sat on it I'd of got a wet bum. So I put the mat out and sat on that against the log.It's very good, soft and supprisingly warm and keeps you dry. Folds up small. Would recommend

This mat is great for most applications outdoors. i personally would have never imagines using one in my mountaineering pack along with other gear... however after a cold spell sat on a rucsac on a walk a decided to give them ago.They are so light that you wouldnt even notice them, so its all about space now instead. well they are the exact size of my crampon bag, which means they add another layer of protection to my gear beneath. it also means the space they take up is insignificant.They could also be halved or fully opened and used as a back padding within the rucsac.for the amount they insulate when seated it really does have a greater benefit than space or weight drawbacks.

(bought two of these) they are perfect for sitting on wet benches when out walking - and anywhere else one might want to sit! They are extremely light weight and fold up in a concertina like way - so fit in my rucksack and wouldn't know I was carrying them - also when you sit on them the material seems to feel warm on your backside! Very easy to wipe dry - a brilliant product!

A good simple sit mat which folds into a convenient shape to fit into my rucksack. It adds virtually nothing to overall carrying weight and is robust enough to withstand the inevitable hard use it gets. Delivery was very quick and it was small enough to be posted through the letterbox so I didn't have to wait in for it.

I've not taken it out with me yet, it arrived this morning. Here's my initial thoughts:It's a good sized luxury item to have in your pack if you have the room.It's extremely light. I think I'll have to keep in mind what I'm sitting on, at all times. It's so light I think the slightest breeze will have me running after it.There's no way to attach any kind of "anchor".It's all pretty obvious stuff, really. :)[Edit] I'm not sure it's actually worth five and a half quid. :)

Kept my bum warm but the thing is tiny, of you are trying to kneel on it to set up a fire or anything you will 100% feel every rock underneath you. It's so thin

Ohh, err no idea what else to write its foldy foam thingy :) joking apart it works well and it has not fallen apart on me yet and I have had it awhile, I use it a lot not just to keep the cold out but have you seen the public seats in London, minky is not the word, it it is still being used now its the summer

Used on a 7 day camping/backpacking hike through scotland, it was very very lightweight so no issues there, and i enjoyed using it to not get a wet bum when sitting around. Its looking a bit scuffed after just 7 days so not sure how long lasting it will be but its cheap enough to replace after a few trips.
