The mattress is for a spare room and for occasional use. Did not want to spend too much for this reason.It is overall good value. It is very firm which I prefer. So not for those who prefer soft to medium.It is good quality for the money. It did take several days for chemical smell to lessen.Quite happy with this purchase.

Bought this for my son's bed and he's delighted (having tried my Ikea memory foam mattress and slept on a memory foam mattress on holiday he was keen to replace his worn out sprung mattress with memory foam).It's about 8" thick - the manufacturers tell me that's 2" of memory foam on top of 6" of reflex foam (beware of cheaper mattresses with only 1" of memory foam - it's really not worth having, you'd be better off saving the money and just getting a simpler foam mattress).Fabric cover is as per the pics; a Cooltouch fabric on the top and fabric which is labelled as 'high friction' on the base and side - it certainly seems to have solved the problem of the sheet slipping off which we had with the old mattress (a standard single fitted sheet is fine despite being a little too long) and the mattress doesn't move around on the wooden slats of his bed.Be aware if you're buying this for a bunk bed that it may be too thick - there are safety regulations on how high the sides of a bunkbed need to be above the top of a mattress and most need a thinner mattress to achieve this (there should be a mark on the bunk to show the max mattress thickness).I can't comment on how well it will last but for the price paid I'm very pleased with it.Finally - great service from The Sleep People Limited who responded to my questions on a Sunday and dispatched the mattress on Monday for Tuesday delivery.

For the price it's wonderfully comfortable but firm enough for a dodgy back. It's not spongy or come across as cheap sponge, which I've had delivered before. I really should have double checked the measurements though, and it does state clearly to do just that. I just read 'IKEA' mattress sized and thought it would do. It doesn't! It's too wide for our IKEA day bed, our kids' Stompa bed and no doubt bunk beds etc. Which at this price and quality is quite likely that you will be buying for IKEA kids beds set up. So check your measurements first! It's NOT IKEA size! It just has the length right, not the width.

The mattess is great and comfortable. Firm but with a cushioned feeling.Delivery could have been better organised with more communication so to avoid missed delivery.

Yes .. Fabulous mattress for the money. And it is a genuinely all foam mattress with good thickness ... Rather than the misleading foam topper Matt's or the spring mattresses that you can be deceived by elsewhere.I'm well happy with it and would recommend it. ;-)

Good quality for good sleep

6" not 8" the foam has not expanded to the full extent??? The top layer seems misshapen at both ends for some reason? Been out of its vacuum bag now for 48 hours, I thought it would have expended more ? This is an occasional bed so its not that crucial. But disappointed in the purchase, feel I've lost out here.
