Yap Cossii Cage and Carrier Mat, Beige Faux Lambswool, 18 x 24 inch

I wanted a mat to act as a rug to place on our bedroom floor because our 12 year old not-so-springer spaniel comes in each morning to greet us and then looks for somewhere to lie down after the licking ritual has finished. I found the Yap Cossii Cage and Carrier mat on Amazon and searched for the largest size which I subsequently ordered. (I chose the Yap Cosii Cage and Carrier mat because it looked warm and cosy as well as being easy to wash) The moment I took the mat from its packaging, Harry-the-dog knew it was for him and I hardly had time to place it onto the floor before he was on it. He now goes into our bedroom to lie on his mat in preference to his own basket in the living room. We store it under the bed to save space and he tries to get on it before I manage to bring it right out. The mat is 24" x 36" which I think it is the largest and correct size for him. We live overseas and travel once a year on the car ferry to the UK with the dog, of course. The space in the (non purpose built) ferry cabin is very limited and in previous crossings we have had to wedge his bedding between 2 bunk beds. I think that the Yap Cossii mat will be just the right width to fit comfortably on our next crossing. It is also very hard work carrying cabin luggage whilst supervising a dog making his way along corridors and up a lift to the cabin without manoeuvring a bulky bed as well. This time, the bed will stay at home and the Yap mat will go with us. We are also booked into 2 dog-friendly hotels so it will be easy to transport the mat to and from the car so Harry will feel at home in any unfamiliar territory because he will have his mat with him. Another plus point is that there will be much more space in the car now to bring back our annual supply of tea, baked beans, cheese and countless other items that are unavailable here as the mat takes up so little space as well as giving Harry 4 star accommodation in the car boot. Finally, I was delighted with the service and speed of delivery. Since the seller is Amazon and, because we had items in the packaging which totalled over £25, the mat was delivered free of charge to our door by their carrier, remarkable as we live in a remote area and up a dirt track. Useful information for overseas customers.

I bought this product as a present along with a cage for my daughter who bought a chihuahua before Christmas. She is absolutely delighted with it and since her pet stays often with me I bought a cage and this mat too. I think it is super, lovely and soft and so comfortable and fits the cage perfectly. Easy to wash

I purchased this with the Ellie Bo dog cage from Amazon. Our new puppy loved it, it is very soft, and fits the cage really well, he loved to curl up and sleep on the mat, and he has been no trouble at night after a little crying on the first evening. Fits easily into the washing machine and dries very quickly. Would recommend

Dog loves it , great to take out when dog is on bare ground especially if they are short haired .

I BOUGHT TWO OF THESES LAST YEAR. I LEAVE ONE IN MY CAR ALL THE TIME SO IT KEEPS THE DOG COMFY AND STOPS THE SEATS GETTING DOG RELATED MUCK AND SMELL ON THEM. THEY WAS GREAT. THE OTHER I HAVE IN THE HOUSE BUT GETS USED BY OTHER PEOPLE WHEN THEY TAKE OUT THE DOG IN THEIR CAR AND TP SLEEP ON AT THEIR HOME. GREAT VALUE AND PRICE WHE I BOUGHT.

Backing quality not good at all. Our puppy destroyed it in one day. A tougher non slip backing is required.

It's made from faux lambswool, meaning it does NOT smell like a freshly showered sheep when washed, and can indeed be shoved into a standard washing machine. It is the right size, is well made and the puppy likes it.Those are the good points.The bad points are the slippery backing to this item. I have used it as a standard hearth rug for the dog, and also in the cage, and it slithers all over the place, not sticking to any surface because of the sheer fabric at its base.Of course puppy likes to slide around on it (not fun when you are carrying hot coffee into the room and find the puppy rug-surfing at speed towards you.....) but it makes it a little unsafe if people step on it, and also when put into the cage, if puppy is a shuffler (mine is) then the mat ends up at one end of the cage and the dog at the other. It's also not good for a car journey, as puppy tends to get slid around a lot, which is another stress he can well do without.So all in all, it is ok, but not the bext I have had. I shall keep it as it can be fun watching puppy surfing, but would not get another simply because of the slippy backing.

Absolutely perfect for my cat. He sits on this well made and lined mat when on my sofa. Also, if he wants to sit on my lap and 'tread', this mat goes on first and his needle-like claws don't hurt me! Love the product, love the colour, which is a discreet taupe and looks so good with the Farrow and Ball colours in my home. Also, is easily washable and doesn't shrink in the tumble dryer. I have recommended it to friends and have no hesitation in recommending it here.
