Hopefully they fix the issues I’ve had so that other people get a properly fitted shaft.Date of purchase: Feb 2022Date of review: March 2022Date of Update edit: June 2022I bought this out of curiosity due to its lower price than other cf equinox shafts.The product arrived early, which was nice. However upon assembly I realized there are some significant design issues with the hole sizing for the arm rest pegs as well as the slot on the end for the teardrop shaped rubber grommets.I ended up having to chisel the plastic away on the screw pegs for the arm rest in order to get both sides of the stock Equinox arm rest to fit on properly.The rubber grommets would literally just fall out from where the coil attaches with like a centimeter of gap (see photo)This translated to a lot of wiggle in the coil, even after over tightening the screw with a coil stiffener in place.I ended up cutting some shims which really isn’t a true solution to the cause of the problem, but it did improve it.I contacted the seller and they offered a partial refund, which is why I’m giving 3 stars.Bottom line is that they really need to improve this product before selling it to more people.Update Edit:The lower shaft now has a 6” vertical crack running up from the plastic insert to which the coil attaches. The lower shaft is now unusable, as the plastic insert falls out.I was detecting in knee deep surf when it cracked.

Bought the upper and lower shaft for my Equinox 800 , first it seems to be made very well but the Minelab arm support does not fit and their description for shaft to be compatible with Minelab shafts are incorrect .I have 3 different coils I use and will either have to buy 2 more lower shafts from CKG or just return it.

First one came apart where it extends. Second one sent broke at the handle. Cheap product.

Sturdy tool that works well. A bit heavy but that's what makes it sturdy.

This is the carbon fiber shaft that is on my Equinox 600. I am so impressed with how easy it was to replace it with the manufacturer Minelab shaft, fit perfectly. I love that just by changing out the manufacturer shaft with the CKG Carbon Fiber shaft how light my machine is now! CKG has fantastic customer service as well.
