INSTRUCTIONS STINK AND SO DOES CUSTOMER ‘SUPPORT”
I bought this to back up a device. It’s cheaply made. They include a little tether which is so easy to break as to be useless.The instructions are written in about 3 pt type. HARD TO READ!! Also, the instructions weren’t accurate to the process of installation and use. It’s kind of hit and miss. Also, you know how when you turn your device the screen reorients? With this software that doesn’t happen. Also, it only copied photos. I couldn’t get it to read any other files. When I contacted “customer support” they said yes it should read everything on the device but neglected to inform as to how to make that happen.Don’t waste your money.

Maybe the iPhone cover is keeping this device from working?
I returned this, thinking it was bad. So, I returned it. Later, I bought another kind. It didn't work either. But, I came to find out that the iPhone cover was keeping it from working/connecting. So, if you have troubles, try removing your iPhone cover and see if it works. ... To fix my issue, I purchased a small USB cable to connect the USB disk to my iPhone.

I am a big advocate for backing up the pictures from your phone. Yes, we do have Google photos and iCloud. But if you take a lot of pictures, do you really want to be reliant on the cloud? Imagine having to download thousands of pictures from the cloud or if the cloud is ever hacked. This is a great way to have a copy at your fingertips at all times. It works for iPhones and androids as well as being a thumb drive for your computer. It’s a much faster way to transfer photos than the traditional way of plugging in your phone cord to the laptop. I recommend this to everybody.
