This set is awesome and s great value. My little adventure explorer has been going on adventures for awhile. This pack is everything he needs to explore nature’s little creatures.The binoculars are not the cheap novelty binoculars but are good in weight and come with their own storage case. The magnifying glass is easy to use and awesome to magnify and view what he has captured. He absolutely loves the compass and feels like he’s an expert explorer. The flashlight is a very nice flashlight. Perfect for him.. and all this value is enclosed and package separately but once opened it all fits easily and nicely in the cutest backpack which is perfect.This set is a great value and I highly recommend for your little explorer.

I bought this for my 3 year old son to take on hiking trips.Pro: the back pack is the perfect size for the contents and for him to carry himself. It had enough room I put in some walkie talkies for him as well. The flash light being rechargeable is awesome because I don't worry if he leaves it on. The compass is pretty legit.Cons: the binoculars are pretty cheap. The first drop cause the lenses to fall off. I ended up gluing on all the pieces together because obviously they will be dropped a lot. The bug cup is kind of a weird design and collapses and it frustrates my son because he's not sure how to use it.Overall it's a decent set up for what I wanted and I don't really stress over it breaking (because it probably will) my son loves it and it will defintely be getting tons of use no matter where we go.

I ordered this kit for my 4 year old who LOVES to explore outside. He has had SO much fun with it. It includes quite a bit of stuff and I love that everything can be kept inside the backpack so it doesn't get lost. In this kit, your child will receive, a plastic, collapsible clear jar with a magnifying lid (and a toy spider inside that looks WAY too real-eek), binoculars in a case, a whistle, a compass, a magnifying glass, and a flashlight that recharges itself when you squeeze the handle. Everything is brightly colored, which makes it easy to find outside in the yard. My 5 year old has also enjoyed this kit. They took the spider out and examined a ladybug from the yard.

My son received this for his third birthday and he is in LOVE with going on adventures with his explorers backpack. He and his sister loved all of the elements so much we had to purchase something similar for my daughter. Other than the little spider that he lost almost right away, nothing has been broken or fallen apart. The insect/bug catching cup can come apart if the child inverts the plastic sections, but it can be put back together easily. As a major plus, the whistle isn’t very loud and isn’t shrill!

was cute, grandson loved the binoculars, flashlite and magnifying glasses. One strap on the backpack did pull out of the stitching and I had to fix it the same day I gave it to him. The only problem we have had with it, otherwise it was great!
