A World Class Book!
WOW… Glenn Elliott and Debra Corey have created a winner with this book. I read it… twice!A fantastic read for anyone looking to increase employee engagement, strengthen work culture, positively impact the customer experience and accelerate the business results that leaders care about most. The Engagement Bridge they write about is more than a consulting model. It is packed with practical ideas that businesses of any size can deploy.Elliott and Corey beautifully lay out the components of the Engagement Bridge with real life examples (plays) that will accelerate business outcomes when followed. I love how they clearly show the reader that following the methods will help generate the conditions that allow people to engage with their jobs and the organization – which will ultimately create a better place to work.In a world where employee engagement has become a ubiquitous term that is all too often freely tossed around by leaders, Elliott and Corey do a nice job providing a very accurate and useful definition all managers can learn from and apply. The research shared throughout will help any reader heighten awareness and, in some cases, concern for the lack of engagement at work and how expensive it really is. Fortunately, they also provide solutions to these issues as they take the reader on a journey through each of the 10 Engagement Bridge components. After reading about each component you can expect to walk away with several ideas you can put into practice immediately in your business.Enjoy!

Your go-to guide for successful Employee Engagement!
The first two words that come to mind after reading Build It: The Rebel Playbook for World Class Employee Engagement are motivational and inspirational. You will immediately want to begin the journey!Built It is easily going to be a "Best Read" for 2018 and this is a book that every member of your management team should own a copy, particularly if your organization needs to be revitalized. Glenn and Debra have provided a Playbook that can be adapted to any organization. They provide you with a clear understanding and insight into "plays" that will take you down the path to successful Employee Engagement including case studies from a wide variety of successful companies as well as their personal experience. One of the most important messages that you will take away from the book is that not everyone will take the same route on this journey, but no matter where you begin, you will be heading in a positive direction and beginning to shift the mindset and/or thought process of managers and employees. After all, when employees feel valued and involved, the work environment is more positive and yields a higher level of productivity. This is a book that I will most definitely recommend to colleagues as well as clients!

I would recommend the book to any leader who is looking for ...
Build It is a pleasure to read! Unlike many other business books it clearly described theory and gave real life examples of how they are applied in practice. I would recommend the book to any leader who is looking for practical ways to make their teams perform better.

Amazing book to how employee engagement drives culture
Great concepts and easy application for reviewing your business plan on employee engagement. Definitely worth reading and becoming an HR rebel!

Good case studies, not enough 'how to'
While the book is well-structured and easy to follow, and the case studies are interesting, it misses the mark on more granular, step by step actions. Not sure 'rebel' would be an accurate assessment of the behaviours they list including, 'write HR policy for the many not the few'. Not exactly rebellious.More interesting than useful.

Excellent thoughts
Great book on employee engagement. Better than most. I've bought copies for coworkers and if that isn't a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is.

Great book for leaders and HR Professionals!
I have been looking for a good book on culture change for a while and I came across this whilst browsing. When it arrived I had a flick through the pages like I always do but was unable to put it down because it was so good. It’s extremely easy to read and very engaging. The book is well structured and informative packed with great ways to increase engagement. I particularly appreciated the tools available on the website which is great to get started. Moreover I contacted one of the authors (Debra) and she was very approachable and thanked me for my feedback. I really think it’s great when an author lives up to your expectations and is truly passionate about sharing knowledge to improve people’s experience at work. As an HR professional, this impressed me and I am pleased that this book is now available to share with leaders and the HR community. Great job on getting an often unnecessarily over complicated subject across in a clear, articulate engaging way. Would definitely recommend!

Useless list of empty cases
Please put your money somewhere else, get the new Springsteen album or a couple of good movies instead [like Boiler Room that is very interesting in terms of internal communication] but don’t buy this useless “book”
