Recently got a Dutch oven and wanted to start making my own sourdough. This kit is great and a lot is included for a good price. The jar for storing starter has both a metal lid and a fabric cover so it can be fully sealed and stored in the fridge or sit on the counter with the fabric cover and allow your starter to rise. It also comes with a band that lists days & times so you can track when you last fed your starter and how much it has risen. The spatula is long and skinny so you can feed & mix your starter directly in the jar. The whisk makes mixing the dough very simple. The plastic scraper helps get any sticky dough bits off the side of the mixing bowl. I've made two loaves so far, one loaf using the banneton floured and put the dough directly into the wooden bowl, and one loaf using the fabric cover (floured) covering the wooden part. Both loaves turned out great and didn't stick to the banneton either time. The lame blade is SUPER sharp so scoring the dough before baking was extremely easy. It also came with multiple replacement blades, and the lame has a leather cover for safe storage. I haven't had to use the metal scraper/cutter yet but I'm planning to make bagels soon so that will come in handy when dividing the dough. The seller also emailed me very specific care and usage instructions prior to my kit being delivered so that was very helpful. I would highly recommend this kit and will likely buy another banneton from this seller so I can have multiple loaves ready to bake at a time!

Honestly this kit comes with everything you need if you are beginning to bake bread using a sourdough starter. All the items that are in the kit are easy to clean. I wash the proofing basket with some water and use the scrub brush and I am able to get any flour residue out. I typically will let it dry out in a sunny area in the house. I found the proofing basket to be the perfect size for the recipe I use for to make bread. Definitely worth the price for everything you get.

Such a great kit for the price! Everything feels professional and not cheap. The seller followed up and gave helpful information which was really appreciated. Would recommend this for anyone starting out or as a gift for someone who wants to start.

For a home baker just getting into sourdough or someone wanting a giftable set, this starter kit looks like a strong choice. It offers good material quality, a broad set of tools in one bundle, and mostly positive feedback on usability and value. Just be mindful of handling, checking all included parts upon arrival, and not expecting it to compete with professional-grade gear.

This has everything you need to make sourdough bread which I make a few times a week. The only thing in the the kit that is unnecessary really is the tool to score the bread with because its blades are not that sharp. I just use a sharp knife.
